PWC school division to hire its own attorney

Mary McGowan has been appointed PWCS Division Counsel, effective July 1.
She has been working in that capacity through the law firm of Blankingship and Keith for the past several months. according to a news release from Prince William County Schools.
As a PWCS employee, McGowan will soon be able to devote her full attention to Division needs, the release said.
McGowan has represented PWCS on legal matters since 1984 and served as attorney to the School Board from 2001 to 2011, the release stated.
