Prince William County Police Department has scheduled two presentations for parents in the community March 8 at Sudley Elementary and March 9 at Hylton High School on Internet Safety, Social Media and “Sexting” Issues
On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, the Police Department will give a presentation on internet safety at Sudley Elementary School in Manassas from 7-9 p.m. This event is recommended for families of children of all ages, but particularly for children entering middle and high school. Child care will be provided for school-age children and concessions are available beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Thursday, March 9, 2017 presentation will cover social media and “sexting.” The event will take place at Hylton High School in Woodbridge from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Parents can learn how the Police Department investigates these types of cases, and an assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney will discuss how these cases are prosecuted in court. Middle school and high school students are encouraged to attend with a parent.
