PWC Police investigate shooting, domestic assault and malicious wounding cases

Incidents and arrests released on Thursday, December 31, 2015

**INCIDENTS**

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation – On December 30th at 7:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14900 block of Emberdale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting call.  The victim, a 33 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and two known acquaintances were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.  During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun and a struggle ensued with the victim.  At one point, the victim was shot in the leg. The suspects then fled prior to police arriving at the home. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.  A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located.  Detectives have determined that this shooting was not random.  The investigation continues.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On December 30th at 8:30AM, officers responded to the 9800 block of Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and began to choke him. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. The accused fled the area before officers arrived at the residence. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.

Michael Rufus ALLEN, 41, of the 9800 block of Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas
Described as a black male, 5’11”, 150lbs with a medium build, black hair, and brown eyes
Wanted for strangulation and domestic assault & battery

Malicious Wounding – On December 29th at 2:17PM, officers responded to investigate a malicious wounding which was reported to have occurred at a business located in the 14500 block of Smoketown Rd Woodbridge (22193) on December 28th at 1:39PM.  The victim, a 30 year old man of Fredericksburg, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, pushed the victim to the ground and assaulted him in an unprovoked incident.  The accused then fled the area. The victim responded to Garfield Station on December 29th after receiving medical treatment for his minor injuries.  Following the investigation, officers obtain a warrant for the arrest of the accused.

Wanted for malicious wounding
Described as a black male, 6’00’’, 225lbs, bald, with brown eyes
