ABDUCTION / SEXUAL ASSAULT / ATTEMPTED ROBBERY
The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about an abduction and assault that occurred in the Dumfries area of Prince William County.
On October 18 at approximately 10:00 p.m. officers responded to a report of an abduction. Three females from the Dumfries area were walking along Fuller Heights Road near the intersection of Mockingbird Heights Road when a lone suspect stopped them at gunpoint and attempted to rob them. He also took one of the girls away from the others and assaulted her. He fled on foot when he saw the lights of responding police cars approaching the area.
The suspect is described as a black male, light to medium complexion, 5’ 8” to 5’ 10” in height, 18 – 25 years of age, wearing a large dark colored hooded sweatshirt and dark colored faded baggy jeans. He was armed with what appeared to be a black and silver handgun.
