PWC Police report girl, 10, sexually assaulted

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On July 9th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 3500 block of Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge (22191) on July 7th. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 10 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with aggravated sexual battery

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On July 9th at 5:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10900 block of Coverstone Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 40 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, retrieved a pair of scissors and attempted to stab the victim. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with attempted malicious wounding and domestic assault & battery

Armed Robbery – On June 26th at 11:57PM, officers responded to the area of 7500 Clemson Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 42 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was sitting on the sidewalk in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. The man displayed a handgun and demanded money from the victim. When the victim told the suspect he didn’t have money on him, the suspect took other property from the victim and fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Officers later located a suspicious vehicle occupied by three men in a parking lot off Sudley Rd. While investigating, one of the males, identified as a juvenile, matched the description reported by the victim of the robbery. Officers were able to connect the juvenile to the incident, as well as, one of the other men, identified as the accused. During a search of the vehicle, a handgun and knife were recovered. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Charged with 1 count of robbery, 1 count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and 2 counts of possession of a concealed weapon

Charged with possession of a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
