* Malicious Wounding ARREST –
On Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 the suspect sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred at the Cheesecake Factory located at 2708 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) on Jan. 27, 2022 was arrested. The accused, Demarcus Leon CROOKS, turned himself in to police without incident.

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On January 27 at 9:58PM, officers responded to the Cheesecake Factory located at 2708 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 32-year-old man, reported to police that he and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw his drink at the victim. The accused then struck the victim before walking out of the restaurant. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Demarcus Leon CROOKS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Incidents
• Commercial Burglary –
On Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 at 2:07AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Tobacco Hut located at 7440 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. An employee of the business reported to police that a loud noise was heard towards the front of the store. Upon checking the surveillance cameras, two unknown males were observed smashing the glass of a display case and removing multiple pieces of merchandise before fleeing the store. The investigation revealed that the suspects smashed the front window to gain entry into the business. There was no contact between the suspects and the employee. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Medications were reported missing.

*A white male, in his 20’s - Last seen wearing a black ski-style mask, a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo and Black Nike Air Force One Shoes
*A white male, in his 20’s - Last seen wearing a black jacket, a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black/white Vans shoes

Arrests
• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO]
– On Feb. 8, 2022 at 8:30AM, officers responded to investigate a larceny that was reported to have occurred near the intersection of Cardinal Dr. and Benita Fitzgerald Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that morning. The victim, a 47-year-old woman, reported to police she was driving her vehicle, when a family member, identified as the accused, removed the vehicle’s keys from the ignition before jumping out of the moving vehicle. The accused then threw the keys into the woods as he walked away. The victim walked to the nearby police station to report the incident. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Carlos Javier NIEVES MARRERO. Later that day, officers located the accused in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County. When the officers attempted to take the accused into custody, he actively resisted the officer’s commands. A brief struggle ensued where the accused temporarily fled from officers before he was detained and eventually secured without further incident. Rescue personnel responded to the scene and provided treatment to the accused who sustained minor injuries during the encounter. No injuries were reported by the officer. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Carlos Javier NIEVES MARRERO, was arrested.

• Felony Child Neglect – On Feb. 9, 2022 at 3:30AM, while on patrol in the area of Worthington Dr. and Linton Hall Rd. in Bristow (20136), officers observed a driver unable to maintain their lane and conducted a vehicle stop. The driver, identified as the accused, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody. During the investigation, officers determined the accused left her two children, a 9-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, at her residence unattended. Officers responded to the home and located the children unharmed and turned them over to a family member. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Febe NORORI POZO, was arrested.

• Attempted Malicious Wounding – On Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022 at 9:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1500 block of Aiden Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 23-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and attempted to stab the victim. A struggle over the knife ensued before other occupants of the home intervened and the parties were separated. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Freddi Alberto HERNANDEZ, was arrested.

• Attempted Armed Robbery | Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 9 at 12:35AM, officers responded to the Colonial Port Mobile Home Park located in the 12900 block of Occoquan Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight with weapons. The victim, a 30-year-old woman, reported to police that an acquaintance, identified as the accused, knocked on her door and demanded money while brandishing a firearm. The victim refused and the accused fled the area in a black SUV when the victim told him she was contacting the police. The victim reported the accused left the firearm on the front
porch where it was recovered by officers. Later that evening, the victim contacted the police a second time when the accused returned and was attempting to gain entry into the home. Upon arriving in the area, officers located a vehicle matching the description provided to police earlier in the evening and made contact with the occupants, one of whom was identified as the accused. The accused was taken into custody without incident. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Martin VALENCIA Jr., was arrested.
