PWC Police Report for Friday, Jan. 28, 2022

Felony Child Neglect – On January 26 at 4:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12100 block of Paper Birch Ln. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 41-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, where involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused took their 2-year-old son and put him in a vehicle without a car seat. When the victim attempted to stop the accused from leaving, the accused shoved her to the ground before driving away with the child unrestrained in the vehicle. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Michael John BEARD. Later that evening, the accused returned to the home with the child who was unharmed. Officers responded to the home and took the accused into custody without incident.

Felony Child Abuse – On January 21 at 7:30PM, officers responded to investigate a child abuse call that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 10100 block of Parkington Ct. in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening. The victim, a 2-month-old girl, was brought to an area hospital by her parents with an injury to her arm. Detectives with the Special Victims Unit responded where it was determined that the victim was in the care of her father, identified as the accused, when he grabbed her arm causing the injury. On January 26, following the investi-gation, the accused, identified as Wesley James REYNOLDS III, was arrested.

Rape – On January 26, 2022, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Woodbridge (22191) area of Prince William County between November 30, 2011 and November 30, 2017. The investigation revealed that the victim, who was between 5-11 years old during the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted by a family member, identified as the accused, on more than one occasion during the 2011-2017 timeframe. The incidents were recently reported to a family member, who notified the police prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Nelson Wilfredos TREMINIO, was arrested.

Charged with 1 count of rape, 1 count of forcible sodomy, and 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery

Incidents
Malicious Wounding –
On January 27 at 9:58PM, officers responded to the Cheesecake Factory located at 2708 Potomac Mills Cl. in Wood-bridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 32-year-old man, reported to police that he and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw his drink at the victim. The accused then struck the victim before walking out of the restaurant. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of nonlife threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Demarcus Leon CROOKS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Demarcus Leon CROOKS, 29, of the 15000 block of Sunny Ridge Ct. in Woodbridge
Described as a black male, approximately 6’6”, 200lbs., with long black twists and brown eyes
Wanted for malicious wounding
