**UPDATES**
Death Investigation *VICTIM IDENTIFIED – Detectives from the Homicide Unit have positively identified the body located on March 30 along the creek bed in Powells Creek near Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191). Detectives are currently working in conjunction with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause of death. There is no public threat or need for concern from the surrounding community as this incident does not appear to be random and no foul play is suspected at this time. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues.

The victim has been identified as Craig Edward MANNING, 63, of Woodbridge
Death Investigation [Previously Released] – On March 30 at 12:51PM, officers responded to investigate human remains located along the creek bed in Powells Creek near Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191). Detectives with the Homicide Unit are currently working to recover the remains which will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination and identification. The identity of the deceased will be released once confirmed and next of kin notified. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues.
**INCIDENTS**
Strong Armed Robbery – On March 31 at 4:34AM, officers responded to the area of Ashton Ave and Coverstone Dr in Manassas (22109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 24 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, the victim was punched in the head, knocking him to the ground. At some point, the victim was cut in the hand by an unknown sharp object. The suspects then went through the victim’s pockets removing a wallet before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Officers checked the surrounding area but did not locate the suspects. The victim was not able to provide any description of the suspects.
Commercial Burglary – On March 30 at 5:50AM, officers responded to the construction site for the Kilby Elementary replacement school located at 1800 Horner Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The construction foreman reported to police that sometime between 5:00PM on March 29 and 4:30AM on March 30, entry was made into several construction trailers located on the property through doors which had the locks cut. Copper and electrical supplies were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on a Corrections Officer – On March 29 at 6:20AM, officers responded to investigate an assault on a corrections officer which occurred at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) on March 29 at 11:20PM. The investigation revealed that a corrections officer was searching the cell of the accused. During the encounter, the accused became agitated and pushed the officer. The accused was quickly detained without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
