PWC police officer charged with domestic assault

Domestic Assault & Battery | Police Officer Arrest – On September 13 at 11:00PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 15500 block of Laurel Ridge Rd in Dumfries (22025).

The victim, a 51-year-old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal argument which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

The accused is a sworn Police Officer of the Prince William County Police Department. The accused will be reassigned to an administrative position and his police powers have been suspended pending an internal investigation.
