PWC Police make two arrests related to alleged domestic incidents

Prince William County Police report the following arrests on Jan. 8, 2025 in connection with two domestic incidents:

ARRESTS
• Strangulation [Domestic] – On January 8, 2025 at 7:51PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Leland Rd. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 45-year-old woman, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim before grabbing her neck. The parties eventually separated, and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Juan VELASCO PEREZ, was arrested.

Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery

• Attempted Malicious Wounding [Domestic] – On Jan. 8, 2025 at 10:31PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a domestic dispute that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 10200 block of Farragut Ct. in Manassas (20109) on January 7. The investigation revealed the victim, a 34-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim before, at one point, attempting to stab her with a knife as their 3-year-old daughter was nearby. Eventually, the victim and child left the residence. The victim reported minor injuries. The child was unharmed. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Eliseo ZONIGA, was arrested.

Charged with attempted malicious wounding, attempted felony child neglect, and domestic assault & battery
