PWC Police make arrests over weekend - Nov. 2, 2015

Malicious Wounding – On November 1st at 1:29AM, officers responded to the 10200 block of Cub Run Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight. The victim, a 40 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, attempted to physically assault two of his friends. The altercation eventually moved outside of the residence where the accused struck the victim in the face with a sharp object causing a laceration near the victim’s temple. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Strangulation| Domestic Assault & Battery – On November 1st at 11:47PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Granada Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 23 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused brandished a knife. The victim then proceeded to upstairs room where he attempted to contact police. At that point, the accused choked and scratched the victim before leaving the home. Minor injuries were reported. The accused eventually returned to the residence where he was arrested without further incident.

Edward Leland DAVIS, 48, of the 12200 block of Granada Way in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation, domestic assault & battery, and attempting to prevent the summoning of law enforcement

Strong Armed Robbery – On October 30th at 11:47AM, officers responded to the 4500 block of Knoll Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.  When the victim attempted to walk away, the suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and took an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect then fled the area prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported.  Following the investigation, warrants were obtained for the accused. The accused was later located and arrested without incident.

Charged with robbery
