PWC Police make arrests in two strangulation cases

Arrests and incidents released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Strangulation – On January 27 at 1:56AM, officers responded a residence located in the 11200 block of Golden Leaf Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 16 year old female juvenile of Annandale, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a physical altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face with a lamp then strangled her with an electric cord. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused who left the residence when police were contacted.  The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused who was located and arrested without incident later that morning.

Strangulation *ARREST – On January 27, Andre REID turned himself into police without incident at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge. This individual was wanted in connection to a strangulation which occurred in the 3600 block of Graham Park Rd in Triangle on January 20.

Strangulation [Previously Released] – On January 20 at 1:14PM, officers responded to the 3600 block of Graham Park Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Springfield, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused approached the victim and began to choke her. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. The accused left the area prior to officers arriving. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused.

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On January 26 at 11:59PM, officers responded to the Shell service station located at 17250 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery in progress. An employee, a 37 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that an unknown man entered the store brandishing a handgun and demanding money. During the encounter, the suspect assaulted the victim then fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.  A police K-9 responded to search for the suspect who was not located.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 25 & 30 years of age, 5’11”, 180lbs with a medium build
Last seen wearing a black scarf covering his face, green and orange University of Miami sweatshirt, blue jeans, black boots, and white gloves
