PWC Police make arrest in 2012 sexual assault case

Sexual Assault – On December 19th at 2:25PM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at the Dumfries Health Center located at 3700 Fettler Park Dr in Dumfries (22026) in September of 2012. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, was a patient at the center in 2012 and under the care of the accused, an Occupational Therapist.  The investigation revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused on at least one occasion while in his care during that time. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 31st in connection to the assault.

          Robert Edward MACDONNELL, 44, of 409 Leeds Ridge Ct in Purcellville, VA
          Charged with object sexual penetration
