PWC police look for unknown vehicle in Occoquan Rd. fatality

Crash – Fatality – Hit & Run
On December 22nd at 7:11PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Occoquan Rd and Vineyard Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that a pedestrian was crossing Occoquan Rd near the intersection of Vineyard Rd at the same time the driver of an unknown vehicle was travelling North bound on Occoquan Rd. The driver of the vehicle struck the pedestrian and left the scene prior to police arrival. The pedestrian, an adult male, died at the scene as a result the injuries sustained during the collision.  Investigation continues.
