PWC Police locate suspect in five-month old malicious wounding case

Malicious Wounding *ARREST –
The suspect sought in connection with an April 16, 2021 malicious wounding that was reported to have occurred in the 13600 block of Hornet Way in Woodbridge (22191) was arrested on Sept. 9, 2021.The suspect, Kevin LAZA, taken into custody in the Woodbridge area without incident, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.

Kevin LAZA, 24, of 1498 Ranger Lp. in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding
Court Date: Pending | Bond: $15,000 Secure Bond

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On April 16, 2021 at 4:51PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Woodbridge Station Apartments located in the 13600 block of Hornet Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 35-year-old man, reported to police that he observed a verbal altercation between two acquaintances and attempted to intervene. At that point, one of the acquaintances, identified as the accused, struck the victim before retrieving a knife and cutting him on the face. The parties separated before the suspect fled the area in a grey Jeep Grand Cherokee prior to police arriving at the residence. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Kevin LAZA. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
