PWC Police investigate malicious wounding, armed robberies and home burglaries

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding – On December 30 at 8:08PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 14800 block of Emberdale Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 56-year-old man of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, identified as a family member, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused attempted to cut the victim with a knife. When the accused failed, he grabbed a blunt object and hit the victim on the head causing a laceration. The accused then fled the area and the victim contacted police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Described as a black male, 6’01’’, 175lbs with brown eyes and black hair last seen with a beard
Wanted for 2 counts of malicious wounding, 1 count of cutting during the commission of a felony, and 1 count of threats by electronic means

Armed Robbery – On January 2 at 1:58PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Target located at 2460 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man was in the store concealing merchandise. When loss prevention personnel attempted to stop the suspect, the suspect brandished a handgun then fled the area on foot. Officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male of an unknown age, 6’00”, 170lbs with a dark complexion, and black dreadlocks
Last seen wearing a black knit cap, blue jacket, and blue jeans

Armed Robbery – On January 2 at 11:32AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a robbery which occurred in the area of Smoketown Rd and Golansky Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) around 3:00AM on January 1. The victim, a 26-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was leaving a business in the above area when he was offered a ride home by two men and a woman. When he got into the vehicle, the woman brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. At some point, a struggle ensued and the victim was struck in the head. The suspects then dropped the victim off and drove away. Minor injuries were reported. The victim could not provide suspect information.

Armed Robbery – On January 2 at 2:21AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Devils Reach Rd and Lakewood Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 25-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was driving in the above area when he was flagged down by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun then took the victim’s cell phone and money before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The victim’s cell phone was later recovered in a nearby creek bed. The investigation continues.

Strong Arm Robbery – On December 30 at 4:09PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Masthead Tr and Old Porte Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 15-year-old male juvenile of Triangle, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by three unknown males. At some point, the victim’s cell phone was taken by the suspects before they fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.
Suspect Descriptions:
Three black males, between 15 and 20 years of age, with thin builds and short black hair
Last seen wearing a black hoodie, a grey hoodie, and a black jacket with blue letters

Residential Burglary – On January 1 at 11:43AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Ashmere Cir in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 7:30PM on December 31 and 2:00AM on January 1. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Some jewelry was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On January 1 at 12:36AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Hackwood St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 10:00PM on December 31 and 12:00AM on January 1. The investigate revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A gaming console was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On December 30 at 6:02PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Kingswell Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30PM on December 22 and 5:14PM on December 30. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a basement window which was found open. A television, safe, and money were reported missing.
