PWC Police investigate attempted malicious wounding, commercial burglary, two residential burglaries

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On October 28 at 6:40PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 11200 block of Lady Jane Lp in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 47-year-old man, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.

During the encounter, the accused brandished a firearm in a threatening manner and placed the barrel of the weapon against the victim’s head. The victim was able to separate from the accused and contact police. The accused fled prior to officers arriving in the area. No injuries were reported.

A police K-9 and helicopter were used to search for the accused who was not located. Officers did locate the firearm used in the incident under a vehicle on a nearby street and determined it was reported stolen. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Dwayne Chauncey CLEMONS.

Dwayne Chauncey CLEMONS, 28, of no fixed address
Described as a black male, 5’10”, 160lbs with a medium build, medium complexion, bushy black hair, brown eyes and a full bear with mustache
Wanted for attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Commercial Burglary – On October 29 at 3:00PM, officers responded to Joe’s Pizza & Subs located at 14085 Dave’s Store Ln in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the burglary occurred around 11:00PM on October 28. Video surveillance showed an unknown man enter the business and approached the cash register. The suspect damaged the register before taking an undisclosed amount of money and leaving. There were no signs of forced entry. Entry is believed to have been made through a front window.

Residential Burglary – On October 27 at 4:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of Eastman St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the burglary occurred between 4:28PM on October 17 and 12:15PM on October 27. Entry was made into the home through a rear door which was found damaged. No property was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On October 26 at 7:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Winding Lp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the burglary occurred between 4:00AM and 6:00PM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level door which was found damaged. Multiple watches, other jewelry and currency were reported missing.
