Accidental Shooting Investigation
Prince William County Police are continuing to investigate an accidental shooting which was reported to have occurred in the 14800 block of Empire Street in Woodbridge (22193) on Wednesday, July 25, 2012,, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, public information officer.

At 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, a family member called police to report that the victim, a 4-year-old Woodbridge boy, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim sustained severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At this time, it appears this is an accidental shooting and that the injury was self-inflicted, Perok said. On Thursday, July 26, 2012, Perok reported that the scene was isolated to a vehicle parked on the street in the area above. No other injuries were reported. Investigation continues. The deceased was identified as Kyrell Kyyon MCNEILL, 4, of the 14800 block of Empire St in Woodbridge.
