Death Investigation – On April 24 at 11:34PM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to an apartment located in the 3500 block of Sherbrooke Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to assist the county’s Department of Fire and Rescue with an apartment fire. Upon searching the apartment, fire crews located an unconscious adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the death and the fire are still under investigation. This incident is being jointly investigated by detectives from the Prince William County Police Homicide Unit and investigators from the Department of Fire and Rescue’s Fire Marshals’ Office. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues.

The deceased was identified as Simeon Saplan LIM, 54, of Manassas
Fatal Crash Investigation – On April 25 at 3:27AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the intersection of the Prince William Pkwy and Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a two vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2016 Ford Fiesta was traveling northbound on the Prince William Pkwy-Bypass just prior to the intersection with Balls Ford Rd. The driver of a 2010 Freightliner tractor-trailer was on Balls Ford Rd attempting to make a left turn onto Prince William Pkwy when the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Ford Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured. Investigators are still in the process of determining if speed, alcohol and drugs were factors in the collision. At this time, charges are not pending. The investigation continues.

The driver of the 2016 Ford Fiesta was identified as Robert Samuel MOSCHGAT Jr., 25, of Centreville
The driver of the 2010 Freightliner tractor-trailer was identified as a 51-year-old man of Holmes, PA
**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding – On April 22 at 12:22AM, officers began an investigation into an assault which reportedly occurred in the 8100 block of Seymour Rd in Manassas (20109) on April 19 at approximately 12:00PM. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 24-year-old woman of Manassas, was involved in a dispute with an acquaintance over social media. The parties eventually met in person in the above area. During the encounter, the argument escalated physically and the victim, who has limited mobility, was struck repeatedly by the accused. Other individuals were present during the incident and did not intervene in the altercation. The incident was recorded and posted online. Officers were able to review the video and confirm the assault. As a result of the assault, the victim sustained injuries to her face. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Tenisha Star RANDALL. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Attempted Armed Robbery – On April 24 at 8:59PM, officers responded to the King Pollo restaurant located at 14111 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted robbery. The store manager reported to police that an unknown, masked man entered the business armed with a screwdriver and approached the counter. The man went around the counter and demanded money from the register. The store manager was able to fend off the suspect who was forced from the store. The suspect attempted to reenter the business and was confronted by a customer. The suspect then fled on foot. A police K-9 was searched for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported and no money was taken.

Black male, unknown age, 6’0”, 190lbs with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a mask
**ARRESTS**
Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On April 25 at 3:39AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 8100 block of Porter Ridge Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 20-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. At one point, the accused picked the victim up and carried her back into the residence. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Joshua Anthony ARIZALA, was arrested without further incident.
