PWC Police Department’s arrest report for Tuesday, March 14, 2017

**ARRESTS**

Residential Burglary – On March 13 at 5:15AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Tallowwood Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a trespasser. As officers arrived, they observed the accused standing outside of the residence. Officers quickly determined that the accused was intoxicated and detained him. The investigation revealed that the accused walked into a neighbor’s open garage and began punching a heavy bag located inside without permission. When the homeowner challenged the accused, a verbal altercation ensued. At some point, the accused got into the homeowner’s vehicle which was left running and drove it down the driveway. The accused eventually got out of the vehicle then proceeded to chase the homeowner back into the residence. The homeowner was able to secure the front door and contact police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Richard Edwin BROWN, Jr., 29, of 15044 Silver Leaf Ct in Dumfries
Charged with burglary, driving under the influence, and grand larceny

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On March 8 at 11:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Bobster Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim, an 18-year-old male of Woodbridge, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim to the ground and choked him. A struggle ensued and both parties eventually separated. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Andre Robert WILLIAMS, 49, of the 16500 block of Bobster Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery

Strangulation – On March 7 at 1:00PM, officers responded to investigate an assault that occurred at a residence located in the 3200 block of Eagle Ridge Dr in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that morning. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim, a 17-year-old female juvenile of Dumfries, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim and choked her. The parties eventually separated and the victim left the residence. An acquaintance of the victim observed that she had minor injuries later in the day and contacted police. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused. On March 8, the accused was located and arrested without incident.

Charged with strangulation
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Released on a $5,000 secured bond
