PWC Police Department Crime Report for Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021

• Abduction | Domestic Related – On Monday, Dec. 13, 2021 at 7:41PM, officers responded to the area of Dale Blvd. and Birchdale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 22-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated while driving in the Woodbridge area. During the encounter, the accused pulled the victim’s hair, struck her, and physically prevented her from getting out of the vehicle. While in the above area, the victim got out of the vehicle briefly before the accused forced her back into the vehicle.

Eventually, the victim was able to exit the vehicle and contact family members who notified the police. The victim reported minor injuries. While investigating, officers observed threatening messages that the victim reported receiving from the accused on December 10. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jefry Samir BANEGAS RODRIGUEZ. Attempts to locate BANEGAS RODRIGUEZ have been unsuccessful.

Wanted:
Jefry Samir BANEGAS RODRIGUEZ, 22, of the 1300 block of East Longview Dr. in Woodbridge
Described as a Hispanic male, approximately 6’1”, 216lbs., with black hair, brown eyes, and several tattoos
Wanted on six counts:  for 2 counts of abduction, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, 1 count of threats to harm, and 1 count of driving on a revoked driver’s license

• Commercial Burglary – On Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021 at 4:31AM, officers responded to Caliber Collision located at 14858 Farm Creek Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. An employee of the business reported to police that he heard a loud noise in the lobby area. Upon checking the disturbance, the employee observed an unknown individual flee from the business. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through the front door which was found damaged. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. At this time, no property was reported missing. The suspect was only described as wearing all dark-colored clothing.

• Commercial Burglary – On Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021 at 3:17AM, officers responded to the One Hanson Pharmacy located at 3286 Old Bridge Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm activation. Upon arriving at the business, officers observed damage to the front door. Video surveillance footage showed a white Honda sedan parked in front of the business where three unknown men then got out of the vehicle and walked up to the business. One of the men threw a paving stone through the glass front door before all three suspects entered the business. No property was reported missing.
