PWC Police continue investigation of county’s fifth homicide in 2015

**INCIDENTS**

Homicide Investigation – On October 4th at 3:46PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12700 block of Lost Creek Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that a 48 year old man of Manassas was stabbed by a family member, identified as a 25 year old man of Manassas, following a domestic altercation inside the residence. The victim was pronounced dead at the home. All parties in this incident remained at the scene and were identified. Currently, no criminal charges have been placed at this time. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 5th homicide of 2015.

The deceased was identified as Stephen Christopher BROWN, 48, of Manassas

Strangulation | Assault & Battery – On October 2nd at 11:56AM, officers responded to the 14400 block of Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 24 year old woman of no fixed address, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused strangled the victim and, at one point, struck her in the face. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.

Described as a black male, 6’0”, 220lbs with a muscular build, dark complexion, short black hair, brown eyes and a beard
Wanted for strangulation and assault & battery

Armed Robbery – On October 2nd at 10:48PM, officers responded to the area of Irongate Way and Court 5 in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he met three men in the above area to purchase marijuana. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun. The suspects took the victim’s wallet, money and cell phone before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. The victim was only able to describe two of the suspects.
Suspect Descriptions:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’0”, 180lbs with a muscular build, light complexion and mustache
Last seen wearing a black jacket, gray undershirt and a beanie cap

Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’4”, 220lbs with a heavy build, dark complexion and beard
Last seen wearing a black jacket – no further description

Strong Armed Robbery – On October 2nd at 6:53PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the area of Williamsburg Ct and Blackjack Oak Ln in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that afternoon around 3:40PM. The victim, a 12 year old boy of Woodbridge, was walking along a foot path in the area above when he was approached by two older juveniles. The suspects pushed the victim to the ground and took his cell phone before dispersing on foot. No injuries were reported.
Suspect Descriptions:
2 black males, between 15 & 17 years of age, both were about 5’10” with thin builds and medium complexions – on of the males had bleached tipped hair
1st suspect was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black & blue jogger pants
2nd suspect was last seen wearing black sweatshirt and black jogger pants

Residential Burglary – On October 2nd at 9:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00PM on September 28th and 8:00AM on September 30th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through the front door which was found damaged. Money, a camera and a coin box were reported missing.
