Incidents
• Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related –
On Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at 3:00PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at the Sunnygate Village Apartments in the 10100 block of Woodbury Dr. in Manassas (20109) on Jan.23. According to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer, the investigation revealed that the victim, a 20-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s hand and held it to a hot burner on the stovetop. The two parties separated, and the accused fled the home a short time later. The victim reported she sustained injuries to her hand during the incident and eventually contacted the police. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Israel ALEJANDRO. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Described as a white male, approximately 5’5”, 140lbs., with black hair and brown eyes

• Residential Burglary – On Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at 8:30AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 11300 block of Wheeler Ridge Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The property manager reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 4:00PM on January 28 and 10:30AM on January 29. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through the basement window which was found unsecured. Copper wire and coax cables were reported missing.

Arrests
• Rape –
On January 31, 2022, detectives with the Special Victims Bureau concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Woodbridge (22193) area of Prince William County between December 4 and December 5, 2020. The investigation revealed that the victim, who was 16 years old at the time of the offense, was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, identified as the accused. On December 8, 2020, following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Darwin Adony HERNANDEZ DEL CID. Initial attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful. According to MPO Carr, on January 31, 2022, HERNANDEZ DEL CID was taken into custody by members of Hopewell Sheriff’s Office, where he will remain until transferred to Prince William County.

•Stabbing | Domestic Related – On January 31, 2022 at 10:06PM, officers with the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Allspice Ct. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic with weapons. The public information officer said that upon arriving at the home, officers located the victim, a 36-year-old woman, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers provided immediate first aid to the victim until rescue personnel arrived at the home. The victim was transported to an area hospital where her injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. The investigation revealed that the victim and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the accused retrieved a knife. During the altercation, the accused stabbed the victim multiple times before the parties separated. A 15-year-old male juvenile was also inside the home during the encounter and was not injured. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gabriel Jerome ELAM, was arrested.
