Incidents
• Burglary While Armed – On Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 7:32AM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence located in the 2800 block of Gloucester Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a home invasion. The occupants of the home reported to police that two armed masked men entered the residence through the unlocked front door. Once inside the residence, the men proceeded to an upstairs bedroom looking for one of the home’s occupants. The suspects were briefly in the home before both fled on foot. No injuries were reported, and no property was taken. A police K-9 and helicopter assistance from Fairfax County police searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Both suspects were described as Hispanic men, around 5’5” and wearing all dark-colored clothing. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.
• Commercial Burglary – On Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 9:42AM, officers responded to the VA Smoke Shop located at 1410 Old Bridge Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. An employee at a neighboring witness reported to police that an unknown man was seen smashing the front glass window with a baseball bat. Officers arrived at the business and conducted a search of the building. A police K-9 also responded to search for the suspect who was not located. Video surveillance showed the suspect selecting merchandise before an alarm was triggered. The suspect fled the business on foot. The suspect was described as wearing all dark-colored clothing and a mask.
• Residential Burglary – On Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 4:48AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Lynn St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that entry was made into the home through an open bedroom window earlier in that morning. The investigation revealed that the bedroom was the only room of the home that was entered. A gaming system was reported missing.
• Attempted Residential Burglary – On Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:59PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15600 block of John Diskin Cir. In Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that two men were heard outside the residence before two loud noises were heard coming from the front door of the residence. The homeowner yelled toward the men through the door before contacting police. Damage was observed to the front door of the residence. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located.
Arrests
• Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Sunday, February 20 at 2:13AM, officers responded to the 10400 block of Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a man screaming and acting erratically. Upon arriving in the area, officers observed the man, later identified as the accused, on the sidewalk where they determined he was intoxicated. Officers detained the accused and contacted a family member who responded to the location. While investigating the incident, the accused struck the 40-year-old family member before officers intervened. The accused refused to follow officer’s commands and struck an officer before being re-secured. During the altercation, the accused also spat on an officer. Rescue personnel arrived at the location and transported the accused to an area hospital for minor injuries. The family member and the officers reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Luis Antonio GUTIERREZ, was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on LEO, 1 count of domestic assault & battery, 1 count of obstruction of justice, and 1 count of intoxicated in public

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 18 at 8:23PM, officers responded to the 4400 block of Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) initial reports of a domestic. While responding to the location, officers learned one of the parties, later identified as the accused, was intoxicated and walking in the roadway. An officer arrived on scene and observed the accused crossing Dale Blvd in the area of Glendale Rd during heavy traffic conditions. While attempting to safely remove the accused from the roadway, she actively resisted and pushed an officer. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Susan Lynea SKAGGS, was arrested.
