**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On March 17, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit and members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located the suspect, Martin MARTINEZ, who was wanted in connection to a robbery which occurred in the 7300 block of Old Centreville Rd in Manassas on January 15. MARTINEZ was arrested without incident leaving a residence in Manassas.
Arrested on March 17:

Charged with 3 counts of robbery and 3 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On January 15 at 6:15PM, officers responded to the 7300 block of Old Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a robbery. The victims, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge and two 18 year old men of Maryland, reported to police that they met with the accused, an acquaintance, and an unknown man in the above area to purchase marijuana.  During the encounter, the men brandished handguns and took the victim’s money and cell phones before fleeing the area in a white Toyota sedan. No injuries were reported.  Following the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful as he may have left the area. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On March 16, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified one of the suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 7600 block of Cass Pl in Manassas on March 11. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of this suspect, identified as Antonio BELL. BELL was eventually located and arrested without incident on March 16.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 11 at 7:20PM, officers responded to the 7600 block of Cass Pl in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 27 year old man of Manassas, was involved in a verbal altercation with three unknown men which escalated. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a firearm then struck the victim in the head causing the firearm to discharge one round which missed the victim. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries or property damage were reported. A police K-9 and helicopter were used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**

Burglary while Armed – On March 17 at 11:15AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7400 block Boundary Ave in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim, an 18 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was inside the residence when a suspect entered the home armed with a handgun. Once inside, the suspect demanded property from the victim. The suspect along with three other men who were outside the residence eventually left without taking any property. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. This incident was not random. The investigation continues.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On March 12 at 7:45AM, officers responded to the 10400 block of Genna Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a destruction of property call. The caller reported to police that several bullet holes were located in his vehicle which was parked in the above area. One bullet was found lodged in one of the holes. Further investigation revealed that a resident also reported hearing gunshots in the area around 5:40AM. No injuries or other property damage were reported.

Malicious Wounding – On March 9 at 9:58PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a business located in the 13600 block of Mapledale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that evening.  The victim, a 17 year old female juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal alteration which escalated. During the encounter, the accused punched the victim in the face multiple times. The accused then fled the area. The victim responded to her residence then contacted police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  Following the investigation, officers obtain a warrant for the arrest of the accused. On March 17, the accused was located and arrested at his residence in North Carolina. The accused remains in custody in North Carolina pending extradition back to Virginia.
