**INCIDENTS**
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 4 at 6:50AM, officers responded to the 16800 block of Toms River Lp in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call. Multiple callers reported to police that several gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers checked the area and located several shell casings in the roadway. No injuries or property damage were reported.
Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 3 at 12:10AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1900 block of Stevens Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 26-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused ransacked the apartment then pushed the victim to the ground and choked her. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. The accused fled the area prior to officers arriving. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was located and arrested a short time later without incident.

Charged with strangulation, domestic assault and battery, and destruction of property
