ARRESTS

Abduction | Malicious Wounding – On September 22, 2012 at 7 a.m. police responded to investigate an abduction which was reported to have occurred in the 8600 block of Placid Lake Ct in Bristow (20136). The victim, a 22-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was in front of a residence in the above area when she encountered the accused, a known acquaintance. The accused assaulted the victim and forced her into a vehicle. While driving, the accused continued to assault the victim before ordering her into an address in the 2300 block of McClellan Ct in Dumfries. The victim was eventually able to contact police to report the incident. The accused was located on Wellington Rd and arrested. The victim sustained minor injuries. Arrested: Anthony Dwayne NELSON, 24, of 8646 Placid Lake Dr in Bristow. Charged with abduction and malicious wounding. Court date set for November 29, 2012, held WITHOUT bond.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On September 21, 2012 at 9:25 p.m., police responded to the 1500 block of Walnut St in Woodbridge (22191) for an assault. The victim, a 21-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a baseball bat and struck the victim. The accused fled prior to police arrival. Officers set up a perimeter around the neighborhood. A police K-9 was utilized in the search and located the accused in the 1500 block of Featherstone Rd. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Arrested: Marvin Jose AYALA-URRUTIA, 20, of 1517Walnut St in Woodbridge. Charged with aggravated malicious wounding. Court date set for October 24, 2012, held WITHOUT bond.

Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery – On September 17, 2012 at 2:30 p.m., police responded to the 8300 block of Shoppers Sq in Manassas (20111) for an assault. The victim, a 45-year-old woman of Gainesville, reported to police that she was driving in the parking lot in the area above when the accused, a known acquaintance, approached her vehicle where a verbal altercation ensued. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim with her keys then a high heeled shoe. A passenger in the vehicle, a 67-year-old woman of Gainesville, attempted to break up the altercation. At that point, the accused assaulted her as well. Minor injuries were reported by both victims. The accused remained at the scene and was arrested following the investigation. Arrested: Luz Besaida MACHADO BOLANOS, 43, of 762-B Chestnut St in Manassas. Charged with malicious wounding and assault & battery. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.
