PWC police beat for 12/20/12

**ARRESTS**

Threat of Bodily Harm – On December 19th at 8:23AM police responded to Pace East School located at 14742 for a report of a student with a gun.  The principal told police that a male juvenile student was being verbally disciplined by a teacher when the teacher noticed the student had his hands in the pocket of his sweatshirt and that he had something in it.  When asked what was in his shirt, he told the teacher that he had a gun.  The school was placed in lockdown and police responded.  When the student was searched no weapons were located.  The classroom was also searched and no weapons was located.  The accused was taken to Juvenile Intake where a court order was issued ordering him to serve 14 days in another county.  He was turned over to that county.
Arrested A male juvenile, 15, of Woodbridge.
Charged with Threats of Bodily Harm. 

Distribution of Marijuana – On December 19th Detective from the Prince William County Street Crimes Unit concluded an investigation into a Distribution of Marijuana.  After a search warrant the accused was arrested without incident. 
Arrested:
Richard Lee SMITH,18, of 11005 Tower Place in Manassas.
Charged with: Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. 
Court date set for February 1, 2013 held on $2,500 secure bond. 

Accident Investigation – On December 19th at 6:47PM, police responded to Lee Highway (Rt. 29) at the railroad crossing for an accident involving a car and a train.  The accused disregarded the signs and roadway markings and stopped on the tracks.  The train was unable to stop and struck the rear of the car.  There were no injuries reported.  The only person on the train was the conductor.  Traffic was shut down for approximately 2.5 hours.  The driver of the car was charged for the accident and released on a summons.  There were two other vehicles that were also stopped in the no stopping zone who were not involved in the accident but were issued tickets.

**INCIDENTS**

Commercial Burglary – On December 18th at 12:40PM, police responded to Hope Luthern Church located at 10391 Sudley Manor Drive in Manassas (20109) for a burglary.  The church manager reported to police that the burglary occurred between December 16th at 1:00PM and December 18th at 12:15PM.  Entry appears to have been made through a window in the front of the building which had been broken out.  Nothing was reported missing. 

Residential Burglary – On December 19th at 3:35PM, police responded to the 3500 block of Briarwood Drive in Dumfries (22026) for a burglary.  The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on December 17th and 3:35PM on December 19th.  Entry appears to have been made through the front door, which had been pried open.  2 TV’s, a gaming system and accessories, clothing and other items, valued around $3,770, were reported missing. 

Residential Burglary – On December 19th at 8:55AM, police responded to the 16600 block of Fern Place in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary.  The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on December 18th and 8:45AM on December 19th.  Entry appears to have been made through an unsecured front window.  Clothing and other items, valued around $220, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On December 19th at 1:30PM, police responded to the 13900 block of Lynhurst Drive in Woodbridge (221923) for a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:55AM and 1:30PM on December 19th.  Entry appears to have been made through a rear window which had the screen removed and the window broken out.  3 gaming systems, 4 TV’s, a laptop computer and other items, valued around $1840 were reported missing. 

Residential Burglary – On December 19th at 10:38PM, police responded to the 13400 block of Chapelwood Court in Gainesville (20109) for a burglary.  The homeowner told police that the burglary occurred between 5:30PM and 8:30PM on December 19th.  Entry appears to have been made through an unsecure rear sliding door.  US Currency and a tablet computer valued around $1,980 was reported missing.
