PWC Police Beat for 10/15/12

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding – On October 14th at 9:47PM, police responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 3900 block of Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) around 7:30PM. The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by 2 unknown men. One of the men approached the victim and assaulted him, causing the victim to lose consciousness. The victim was transported to an area hospital by a friend where police were contacted. No property was taken from the victim.
Lookout:
2 males, unknown race, between 20 & 22 years of age, 5’8” / 150lbs, medium builds

Malicious Wounding – On October 13th at 5:08AM, police responded to the 13900 block of Rope Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a stabbing. The victim, a 31 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was attending a party at a residence in the above area when a physical altercation began between him and other party attendants. During the encounter, one of the assailants stabbed the victim with an unknown sharp instrument. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his back. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of any of the assailants.

Armed Robbery – On October 14th at 3:18AM, police responded to the 7-11 located at 4804 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that 2 unknown men entered the store and approached the counter. Both men were armed with handguns and demanded money. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.
Lookout:
2 black males, both reported to be between 18 & 25 years of age, 5’8” / 160lbs, thin builds with black hair
Both were last seen wearing all dark clothing and masks

Strong Armed Robbery – On October 14th at 11:30PM, police responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Breezy Ridge Way in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, a 56 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he had stopped his vehicle in the area above. Upon getting out of his vehicle, the victim was approached by 3 unknown men, 2 of which had dogs with them. The men assaulted the victim which knocked him to the ground. Once on the ground, the men continued to assault the victim. At one point, one of the dogs bit the victim on the hand. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On October 14th at 4:47PM, police responded to the World Trade Company located at 14980 Farm Creek Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:30AM and 1:30PM. Entry appeared to have been made through an overhead bay door which had been forced open. Two TV’s, valued around $1,400, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On October 14th at 1:15PM, police responded to the 12900 block of Kimrough Ln in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM and 1:00PM. There we not signs of forced entry into the residence. Jewelry and a laptop, valued around $1,500, were reported missing

Residential Burglary – On October 12th at 4:21PM, police responded to the 7800 block of Mclean St in Manassas (20111) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:00PM and 4:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked rear door. Jewelry, 2 laptops, an iPad and other property, valued around $6,000, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On October 12th at 3:59PM, police responded to the 3100 block of Burbank Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:45AM and 2:30PM. There we not signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. An iPad, valued around $250, was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On October 14th at 8:51AM, police responded to the 3000 block of Arkendale St in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 2:00AM and 4:00AM, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear window which was broken. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. 

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On October 12th at 8:55AM, police responded to Select Auto Sales located at 7508 Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) for an attempted burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30PM on October 11th and 4:00AM on October 12th. Several doors appeared to have been forced open. Entry is not believed to have been made into the business and no property was reported missing.

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On October 11th at 10:28AM, police responded to the 3100 block of Golansky Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Property owner reported to police that an unknown person(s) attempted entry into a vacant office by prying open the front door. It is unknown when this could have occurred. No entry was made into the office space and no property was reported missing. 

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On October 13th at 1:00AM, police responded to the 2300 block of Mizzen Pl in Woodbridge (22192) for an assault. The victim, a 51 year old man of Annandale, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly retrieved a shovel and struck the victim in the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested without further incident.

Felony Child Neglect – On October 14th at 12:55AM, police responded to the 13600 block of Langtree Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a missing child. A family member inside the residence reported to police that the victim, an 8 year old boy, never returned home. Detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit responded and discovered that the victim was last seen around 8:00AM on October 13th, several hours before the call to police was made. The victim was eventually located unharmed around 7:30AM, on the 14th, at a residence about 2 miles away. Detectives further discovered that the accused, the parent of the victim, does not properly care for the victim and is often unaware of his whereabouts. Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested. The victim is currently in the custody of other family members.

Strong Armed Robbery | Assault by Mob – On October 13th at 8:44PM, police responded to 1200 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, a 53 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by 3 unknown men. The men assaulted the victim and took his cell phone before a security guard was able to help the victim. The men fled but the guard was able to catch one of the men, WRIGHT. The two other males, identified as juveniles, were located and arrested later in the evening without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Residential Burglary | Assault & Battery – On October 14th at 6:47PM, police responded to the 7500 block of Sage St in Manassas (20109) for an assault. The victim, a 45 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was near the shopping center on Streamwalk Ln when he was approached by an unknown man, later identified as the accused. A verbal altercation ensued and, at one point, the accused displayed a knife and threatened the victim. The victim was able to run to his residence on Sage St where the accused followed and attempted to force entry, however no entry was made. An officer located the accused nearby where he was detained without incident. Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested. No injuries were reported.
