**INCIDENTS**
Felony Hit and Run Investigation – On February 8 at 7:14PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Occoquan Rd and Hylton Ave Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian. The victim, identified as a 35 year old man of Woodbridge, was located lying in the middle of the roadway suffering from serious, non-life threatening and was transported to a local hospital. The initial investigation revealed that the victim, who was not in a crosswalk, was attempting to cross over Hylton Ave heading eastbound on Occoquan Rd when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Hylton Ave. The striking vehicle did not remain at the scene. **ARRESTS**
Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 7 at 9:25AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Effingham Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused brandished a knife and attempted to stab the victim. A struggle ensued and the victim was able to flee the residence then contact police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
