**INCIDENTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 26th at 1:01AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 14700 block of River Rock Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and pushed her onto a coffee table. At one point, the accused put his hands around the victim’s neck and began to choke her. The parties eventually separated and the accused left the home. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.

Described as a black male, 5’7”, 140lbs with a thin build, light complexion, black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for strangulation and domestic assault & battery

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 26th at 2:15AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted strangled the victim with both hands. The accused further assaulted the victim by striking her in the stomach and knocking her to the ground. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Darryl Dwayne JOHNSON, 26, of the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries
Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery
Court date: pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 22nd at 10:00PM, officers working a detail at Jiffy Lube live located at 7800 Cellar Door Dr in Bristow (20136) were advised of an altercation involving staff and the accused. The investigation revealed that a staff member, identified as a 25 year old woman of Stafford, observed the accused attempting to climb a fence to enter the venue. When confronted, the accused approached the staff member and assaulted her. At one point, the accused grabbed the staff member’s hair causing both parties to fall to the ground where a struggle ensued. An officer observed the accused and placed her under arrest. Once handcuffed, the accused was able to reposition her hands and scratch the officer on the arm, breaking the skin. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested and eventually transported to the Adult Detention Center.

Charged with assault & battery on a LEO and obstruction of justice
