PWC Police Beat - April 4, 2017

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On April 3 at 9:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Mountain View Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 8:30AM and 9:20PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence.  No property was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On April 3 at 2:08AM, officers responded to the Tobacco Spot located at 13997 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an alarm activation. When officers arrived, they discovered that entry had been made into the business through a rear door that had been damage. Several cases of cigarettes were reported missing. A police K9 was used to search for any possible suspects.

**ARRESTS**

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 3 at 1:50PM, an officer responded to the 500 block of Railroad Ave in the Town of Quantico (22134) to investigate an intoxicated person. When officers arrived, they located the man and determined that he was intoxicated. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he became agitated and kicked an officer in the lower body. The accused was eventually secured without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
