PWC Police Beat 9/2/13

**ARRESTS**

Sexual Assault – On September 1st at 8:20PM, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to the 7-11 located at 14116 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a sexual assault. The victim, a 32 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was standing by the Redbox returning a movie when the an unknown man walked by and sexually assaulted her. Officers arrived and located the man, identified as the accused, near the 7-11. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Suspect Description:
Rene Jose BUESO-ALBARENGAS, 26, of no fixed address
Charged with object sexual penetration

Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery – On September 1st at 8:36AM, police responded to the 14600 block of Earlham Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault. The victim, a 43 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to his residence where a verbal altercation ensued outside of the home. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim to his face with a golf club. Other occupants of the home intervened and where able to break up the fight. As the victim and the other residents were going inside the home, the accused threw a glass bottle at the door which shattered, striking one of the other men, a 24 year old man of Woodbridge, to his arm. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Charged with malicious wounding, assault & battery, and destruction of property

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On August 30th at 10:30PM, police responded to the 1500 block of Hylton Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted robbery which was reported to have occurred on August 29th. The victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by 3 unknown males. One of the males assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground, the group continued to assault the victim before going through his pockets. Following the assault, the suspects fled on foot. The victim did not have any property on him at the time. Minor injuries were reported.
Suspect Descriptions:
3 black males, all reported to be between 16 & 18 years of age—
1st male was 6’0”, 120lbs with a thin build and bald head
Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, and black shoes

2nd male was 6’0”, 140lbs with a medium build, short black hair, and a scar on his left cheek
Last seen wearing a black shirt, black jeans, black shoes, and a black shirt around his neck

3rd male was 6’0”, 120lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, blue jeans, and blue & white shoes

Residential Burglary – On September 1st at 7:00PM, police responded to the 13700 block of Langley Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on August 30th and 4:30PM on September 1st. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window or door. A laptop, valued around $2,000, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On September 1st at 4:58PM, police responded to the 12000 block of Stallion Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on August 24th and 9:00PM on August 26th. Entry was made into the home through a rear door which was found damaged. Jewelry, valued around $100, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On August 31st at 7:06PM, police responded to the 1300 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:15AM and 7:00PM. Entry was made into the home through the front door which was found damaged. No property was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 30th at 7:03PM, police responded to the 13500 block of Woodvale Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 2:00PM on August 24th and 7:15AM on August 27th, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the home through a basement window which was found damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
