**ARRESTS**
Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On September 22nd at 1:13AM, police responded to investigate a double stabbing which was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 7300 block of Old Carolina Rd in Gainesville (20155). The victim, a 22 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated physically. During the encounter, a friend of the victim’s, a 23 year old man of Manassas, joined in the fight. At that point, the accused displayed a knife and stabbed the victim’s friend to his chest and slashed the victim to his forehead and arm. Following the assault, the accused fled the area. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accused was located later that day and arrested without further incident.

Felony Child Abuse – On September 21st at 8:12PM, police responded to the 9400 block of Brentsville Rd in Manassas (20112) for a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver, identified as the accused, had crashed her vehicle into a tree in the above area. It was determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Two small children, a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old girl, were seated in the backseat, both were not injured. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with felony child abuse and driving under the influence

Strangulation | Assault & Battery – On September 22nd at 2:15AM, police responded to the 16500 block of Bobster Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for an assault. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she drove the accused, a known acquaintance, to his residence in the above area where a verbal altercation ensued. The encounter escalated physically and, at one point, the accused assaulted and choked the victim. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and drive to the police station to report the incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strangulation | Assault & Battery – On September 21st at 2:41AM, police responded to a residence located in the 3800 block of Ogilvie St in Woodbridge )22192) for an assault. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, choked her. The victim was able to get away from the accused and contact police. The accused damaged an interior door to the home before fleeing the residence. Minor injuries were reported. The accused was eventually arrested later that day without further incident.

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On September 20th at 1:47AM, police responded to a residence located in the 13600 block of Lynn St in Woodbridge (22191) for a domestic incident. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and kept her inside a bedroom. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 21st at 4:29PM, A Prince William County police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Danville Rd and Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for a traffic offense. The driver, later identified as the accused, ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued to the 3000 block of Arkendale St where the officer attempted to arrest him. The accused actively resisted the officer leading to a physical altercation. At one point, the accused struck the officer to his shoulder. The accused was eventually arrested without further incident. During the investigation, it was determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

Vincent Pierre CARTER, 52, of 14831 Emberdale Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with assault & battery on LEO, felony eluding, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 22nd at 12:30AM, police responded to the 12400 block of Abbey Knoll Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a report of a suspicious person. Multiple callers reported to police that unknown man was walking through the neighborhood banging on doors. An officer responded and located the man, identified as the accused. The accused was found to be under the influence of alcohol. As the officer was attempting to arrest the accused, he actively resisted leading to a brief struggle. The accused was eventually detained and transported to the Adult Detention Center. Once there, the accused became agitated and spat at the arresting officer on two occasion, striking him to the face and chest, then to his legs and abdomen. No injuries were reported.

Charged with assault & battery on LEO, resisting arrest, and intoxication in public

**INCIDENTS**
Homicide Investigation - On September 21st at 3:15PM, police responded to Marumsco Acre Lake Park located at 14398 Melbourne Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a stabbing. Caller reported to police that a man was found in the park bleeding from an apparent stab wound to his stomach. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau are working this case as a homicide and are currently following up on leads. At this point in the investigation, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 4th homicide of 2013.

Armed Robbery – On September 22nd at 9:02PM, police responded to the 12700 block of Ripple Creek Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. The victim, a 23 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking to his vehicle in the parking of the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. The man displayed a handgun and struck the victim to his face before taking the victim’s car keys, iPad, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The suspect then fled the area in the victim’s vehicle. Minor injuries were reported.

Hispanic male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’1”, 160lbs with a thin build, short black hair, brown eyes, and a “13” tattoo under his right eye

Strong Armed Robbery – On September 20th at 3:30PM, police responded to the area of Rodes Dr and Double Day Ln in Manassas (20109) for an assault. The victim, a 13 year old male of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by an unknown man. The man assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspect took the victim’s phone, wallet, and backpack before fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Assault &Battery – On September 21st at 2:26AM, police responded to the IHOP located at 13718 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a shooting. Caller reported to police that several shots were fired following a fight in front of the business. Officers arrived and located two victims, a 39 year old man of Woodbridge and a 38 year old man of Washington DC, suffering from injuries to their faces. Both men reported that a large fight had broken out in front of the business and they were struck by unknown assailants. During the encounter, someone fired multiple rounds into the air. No one was reported to have been struck by the shots that were fired. The injuries reported by the victims were non-life threatening. The victims were not able to describe the assailants.
Residential Burglary – On September 22nd at 5:14AM, police responded to a residence located in the 1300 block of Eisenhower Cir in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:50PM on September 21st and 5:14AM on September 23rd. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. A laptop and 2 sports jerseys, valued around $2,400, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On September 21st at 8:17AM, police responded to Dunivins Corner located at 13306 Gordon Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on September 20th and 8:15AM on September 21st. Entry was made into the business through a garage door which was forced open. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On September 22nd at 2:11PM, police responded to a residence located in the 10200 block of Launch Cl in Manassas (20109) for an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 6:30PM on September 21st and 9:30AM on September 22nd, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear window which was found damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On September 22nd at 4:45AM, police responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Harrison St in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he was asleep inside his home when he heard a loud noise. The homeowner stated that as he was checking the house when he observed an unknown figure standing outside his window. The unknown suspect fled once seen by the homeowner. Entry was attempted through a window which was found damaged however no entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. The homeowner was unable to describe the suspect.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On September 21st at 3:25AM, police responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Harrison St in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that she was asleep inside her home when she heard a loud banging noise coming from her kitchen door. The homeowner immediately called 9-1-1. Officers arrived and discovered that the outer pane glass on the kitchen door was broken. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. A neighbor reported to police that an unknown man was seen attempting to enter the home next door and provided officers with a description.
