Burglary
On Sept. 22 at 11:03 p.m., police responded to the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave. in Woodbridge for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she heard a loud bang coming from an upstairs window. Upon investigating the noise, an unknown man, later identified as the accused, was seen running from the backyard. Police arrived and observe the window had been cracked. While checking the surrounding areas, police located the accused, who matched the description provided by the homeowner, walking down Darbydale Avenue. The accused was found to be in possession of a firearm and was arrested. Arrested: Ahmed Fofanah, 27, of 13100 Opal Lane in Woodbridge. Charged with burglary while armed, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a concealed weapon and destruction of property. Court date and bond information unavailable.

Burglary to Business
On Sept. 13 at 10:32 a.m., police responded to Manassas Auto Body at 7214 Centreville Road in Manassas for a burglary. Employees reported to police the burglary occurred between 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and 10 a.m. Sept. 13. There were no signs of forced entry into the business. Tools and other equipment valued around $3,000 were reported missing.
