**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary – On August 6th at 4:19PM, police responded to the 2900 block of Wetherburn Ct in Dumfries (22026) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 3:44PM on August 6th. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door which had been forced open. Shoes, valued around $480, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Strangulation – On August 6th at 10:09PM, police responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 1700 block of Azalea Ln in Woodbridge (22191). The victim, a 23 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim onto the bed and began to choke her. The victim further reported that she had lost consciousness. When the victim awoke, she immediately went to the hospital where police were contacted. The victim was treated for minor injuries to her neck and shoulder areas. The accused was located at his residence and following the investigation, he was arrested.

Brandishing | Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 6th at 5:47AM, police responded to the 15000 block of Cardin Pl in Woodbridge (22193) for a shots fired call. The victim, a 44 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated physically. The victim was leaving the residence when the accused followed him outside. Once outside, the accused displayed a handgun and fired it multiple times. The victim was not shot by any of the rounds. Officers were unable to locate the accused after the incident. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused. Officers located the accused later that morning and arrested him without incident.

Obscene Sexual Display – On August 5th at 4:54PM, police responded to the Wal-Mart located at 14000 Worth Ave in Woodbridge (22192) for a suspicious person. The victim, a 46 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was shopping inside of the store when she noticed an unknown man following her. The victim further reported that the man was pushing a shopping cart which had a mirror located on the bottom rack. At one point, the victim observed the man place the cart in a position which allowed him to look up her dress. The man then began to make an inappropriate gesture towards the victim. The man did this multiple times before leaving the store. Officers arrived and detained the man, identified as the accused, in the parking lot. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with obscene sexual display and disorderly conduct

Burglary | Possession of Burglarious Tools – On August 6th at 3:42AM, police responded to the Haverty’s Furniture Store located at 2600 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) for an alarm. Officers arrived and observed an unknown man inside the locked business. Additional officers surrounded the business and eventually observed the man on top of the roof. A ladder truck from the Prince William Department of Fire and Rescue was called to the business in order for officers to access the roof. Officers were able to get onto the roof and detain the man, identified as the accused, without further incident. The investigation revealed that the accused had accessed the roof by climbing an exterior drainage pipe on the outside of the building and then entered the business through a roof hatch. A search of the accused revealed several burglarious tools, a steel pipe, and a knife. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with 1 count of burglary, 1 count of possession of burglarious tools, and 2 counts of possession of a concealed weapon

Narcotics Investigation – On August 6th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of suspected cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at 13945 Longwood Manor Ct #304 in Woodbridge (22191). As a result of the search, suspected narcotics, packaging materials, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. The below arrests were also made without incident.

Charged with 3 counts of distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic
Andre Kenneth HUDSON, 28, of 13945 Longwood Manor Ct #304 in Woodbridge
Charged with 1 count of possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic
Court date: October 11, 2013 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
Narcotics Investigation – On June 26th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of suspected heroin with the below arrest which was made without incident in the 17100 block of Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22025). As a result of the investigation, suspected heroin and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was recovered. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

Robert Alfonzo MACK, 33, of 4865 Langer Ln in Woodbridge
Charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic
Court date: August 16, 2013 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond at the time of arrest
