**ARRESTS**

Rape | Forcible Sodomy – On August 3rd, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to investigate a rape which was reported to have occurred in the 13100 block of Putnam Cir in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 24 year old woman of no fixed address, was raped by the accused, a known acquaintance, while at his address in the above area. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on August 3rd:
Nicholas WILLIAMS, 30, of 13146 Putnam Cir in Woodbridge
Charged with rape and forcible sodomy

Residential Burglary | Abduction – On August 3rd at 12:42AM, police responded to the 3200 block of John Robinson Ln in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. The victim, a 36 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was asleep inside her residence when she awoke to find the accused, a known acquaintance, inside her room. The investigation revealed that the accused had forced his way into the residence through the front door. Once inside, the accused entered the victim’s bedroom and demanded a ride. To avoid a confrontation, the victim agreed to give the accused a ride to Triangle Shopping Plz. Once there, the accused got out of the vehicle and the victim contacted police. During the investigation, the accused returned to the scene and was subsequently arrested.

Residential Burglary | Grand Larceny – On August 2nd at 2:13PM, police responded to the 14400 block of Meridian Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that when he arrived at his home, he observed an unknown male juvenile jump over his back fence and run towards a nearby creek carrying a backpack. The homeowner caught up to the juvenile and confronted him. The juvenile dropped the bag and continue to run. The homeowner returned to his residence and discovered a rear glass door was broken out. The bag that the juvenile was carrying also contained items from the home. Officers were able to identify the intruder as the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was charged on August 4th.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 4th at 8:41PM, a Prince William County police officer stopped a vehicle in the area if Cuddy Lp and Sonora Dr in Woodbridge (22193). The officer determined that the driver, identified as the accused, was under the influence of alcohol and attempted to arrest her. During the encounter, the accused struck the officer to his chest. No injuries were reported. The accused was detained without further incident.

Charged with assault & battery on LEO and driving while intoxicated

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding – On August 3rd at 3:06AM, police responded to the 3600 block of Wharf Ln in Triangle (22172) for a shooting. The investigation revealed that four known acquaintances were involved in a physical altercation in front of a residence in the above area. As the fight was being dispersed, an unknown man approached the group and shot the victim, a 28 year old man of no fixed address, to his lower body. Following the shooting, the man fled the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. This incident is not believed to be random. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male, unknown age, between 6’1”-6’3” with a thin build and short hair
Last seen wearing a black shirt, dark blue jeans, and a burgundy & yellow hat

Residential Burglary – On August 4th at 7:11PM, police responded to the 12500 block of Sulky Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30AM on August 2nd and 7:00PM on August 4th. Entry appeared to have been made in the residence through a basement door which had been forced open. Jewelry, a computer, and TV, total value around $25,000, were reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On August 4th at 12:41AM, police responded to the AT&T Wireless Store located at 7650 Streamwalk Ln in Manassas (20109) for an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered that an unknown suspect(s) entered the business through the front door which had been forced open. Several phones, total value around $30,000, were reported missing. A K-9 was used to search for the suspect(s).

Commercial Burglary – On August 2nd at 1:00PM, police responded to Penny’s Used Auto Parts located at 13059 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00PM on August 1st and 12:00PM on August 2nd. Entry appeared to have been made through a side door to an attached garage. Two dirt bikes, total value around $1,800, were reported missing.
