ARRESTS
Possession of Schedule I/II Narcotic
On Aug. 30 at 2:04 a.m., Officer Benjamin Owen conducted a traffic stop on Prince William Parkway near the intersection of Black Forest Lane.  The driver of the vehicle was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and drugs were located in the vehicle during the inventory search.  The driver and both passengers were arrested. Arrested: Lawrence Thomas Daniels, 30, of 3503 Earl Ct. in Dumfries. Charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of schedule I or II drugs. Held without bond. Court date is unavailable. Kevin Devon Kelly, 35, of 14117 Brooke Dr., in Woodbridge. Charged with possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of schedule I or II drugs. Held on a $7,500 bond, Court date is unavailable Chrystal Sheila-Nann Nelson, 23, of 2849 Banks Ct. in Dumfries. Charged with possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of schedule I or II drugs. Held on $5,000 bond.  Court date is unavailable.

Assault and Battery on Firefighter / Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement Officer / Resisting Arrest
On Aug. 29 at 12:13 a.m., officers responded to the 12600 block of Tides View Ct. to assist rescue personnel with a disorderly subject.  Upon their arrival, it was determined Ms. Laabs had attempted to choke one of the medics who had responded to the residence for another person who had been injured in a fall.  During the course of attempting to restrain Ms. Laabs, she kicked at one of the officers, striking her in the chin.  Ms. Laabs is a Federal law enforcement agent. Arrested:  Julie Kathleen Laabs, 41, of Alexandria. Charged with assault and battery on a firefighter,assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest. Court date and bond information is not available.

OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS
Burglary to Business (Attempt)
On Aug. 29 at 10:21 p.m., police responded to the Thai Peppers restaurant at 10406 Bristow Center Dr. in Bristow for an attempted burglary. Employees reported to police that between 10 p.m. Aug. 28 and 10 a.m. Aug. 29, unknown persons attempted to pry the rear door of the business.  No other damage to the business was reported.  No items were taken.

Burglary
On Aug. 20 at 9:12 a.m., police responded to the 7800 block of Powhatan St. in Manassas for a burglary.  The residents reported that between Aug. 19 and 20, unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole electronics valued at $550.  The point of entry is unknown.

Burglary
On Aug. 23 at 11:15 p.m., police responded to the 11000 block of Camfield Court in Manassas for a burglary.  The victim reported that his laptop computer valued at $270 was stolen sometime between Aug. 21 and 23.  There were no signs of forced entry.

On Aug. 26 at 5:26 p.m., police responded to the 10100 block of Lomond Dr. in Manassas for a burglary.  The victim reported that between noon and 5 p.m. on the 26, unknown person(s) entered his bedroom and removed electronics valued in excess of $800.  There were no signs of forced entry.

Burglary
On Aug. 30 at 8:28 p.m., police responded to the 3400 block of Cornice Place in Lake Ridge for a burglary.  The residents reported that between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., unknown persons entered the residence and took a laptop computer and jewelry with a total value of approximately $600.  There were no signs of forced entry.

Destruction of Property
On Aug. 29 at 4:44 p.m., police responded to the Meadow Brook Woods subdivision in the Independent Hill area of Prince William County for reports of graffiti being spray-painted on park benches, sidewalks and other common areas in the community.  Representatives of the homeowners association reported that between Aug. 27 and 28, unknown subjects painted an anarchy symbol, swastika and offensive language on several public spaces along Champlain Drive.  The offenses do not appear to be directed toward any specific residents in the community.
