PWC Police Beat 8/2/13

**INCIDENTS**

Commercial Burglary – On August 2nd at 3:37AM, police responded to the Shell Service Station located at 14352 Gideon Blvd in Woodbridge (22192) for an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front glass door was broken out. Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, two unknown, masked entered the business and took several cartons of cigarettes after breaking open the cash drawer. No money was taken. The suspects fled the business, possibly in a vehicle.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding | Brandishing a Firearm – On July 31st at 3:49PM, police responded to the 14300 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a fight. Caller reported to police that a verbal altercation broke out in a parking lot in the above area between several unknown men. During the encounter, one of the males, later identified as the accused, pulled out a handgun and pointed it towards two other men. At the point, the altercation escalated physically between all parties involved. The fight dispersed prior to police arrival. Responding officers located the accused suffering from injuries to his face. The accused was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The investigation revealed that the accused knew the other two men involved in the encounter. Officers located the weapon and were able to determine that it was an airsoft gun.
