PWC Police Beat 8/21/13

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On August 20th at 8:46PM, police responded to the WaWa located at 15809 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted robbery. The victim, a 49 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she went into the store to withdraw money from the ATM then returned to her vehicle in the parking lot. As she and her husband were backing the vehicle from the parking space, an unknown man approached them, waving his hands. The driver, the victim’s husband, lowered the passenger window where the victim was seated. At that point, the man grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim was able to hold onto the purse and the suspect fled, getting into an older model vehicle with another unknown man. No property was taken and no injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
White male, between 18 & 35 years of age with a medium build and short brown hair
Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, beige shorts, and sunglasses

Hispanic male, between 18 & 35 years of age with a medium build and short brown hair
Last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants, and sunglasses

Residential Burglary – On August 20th at 1:25PM, police responded to the 3900 block of Soundview Cl in Triangle (22172) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM on July 1st and 1:25PM on August 20th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Jewelry, valued around $2,800, and miscellaneous paperwork were reported missing.

Reckless Driving | Possession of Stolen Property | Escape by Force – On August 21st at 1:20AM, a Prince William County police officer stopped a vehicle in the 14000 block of Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a traffic related offense. During the stop, the officer learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen by another law enforcement agency in July. As the officer was attempting to arrest the driver, he pushed off of the vehicle causing the officer to step backwards. At that point, the accused fled on foot. A police K-9 was called to assist in the search for the man. During a search of the vehicle, officers further learned that the driver had provided them with a false identity and also located multiple baggies of suspected marijuana. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Described as a black male, 6’4”, 220lbs with a medium build, brown eyes, and black hair
Wanted for reckless driving, possession of stolen property, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, driving on a revoked license, escape with force, and providing false identification to law enforcement

**ARRESTS**

Sexual Assault| Abduction – On August 20th at 11:30PM, police responded to the 14700 block of Arizona Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, forced his way into her residence through a lower level window. Once inside the home, the accused proceeded to the victim’s bedroom where he forced his way into the room, held the victim down, and sexually assaulted her. The victim screamed and the accused fled the residence. Officers were able to locate the accused at a home on Marseille Ln where the accused was arrested without further incident.

Charged with object sexual penetration, abduction, and burglary

Narcotics Investigation – On July 10th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of prescription medications with the execution of a search warrant at 12733 Light House Ln in Woodbridge (22192). As a result of the search, Oxycodone, Morphine, marijuana, a handgun, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. The following arrest was also made with incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

Guy Douglas DUBOIS JR, 33, of 12733 Light House Ln in Woodbridge
Charged with 2 counts of possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II narcotic
