Armed Robbery *ARRESTS – On June 28th, the accused, YOUNG, was located and arrested in connection to the robbery which was reported to have occurred at the Comfort Inn located at 16931 Old Stage Rd in Dumfries on June 26th. The second suspect, COLEMAN, was located and arrested in Prince William County by members of the police department’s Bike Team on July 7th.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 26th at 12:10PM, police responded to the Comfort Inn located at 16931 Old Stage Rd in Dumfries (22025) for a robbery. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she made arrangements to meet with an unknown man in a room at the above hotel. When the man arrived, the victim recognized him as someone who she had met a few years ago. While inside the room, the man became nervous and then left the room. He returned with another man, later identified as COLEMAN. The victim refused to allow the men to enter the room. At that point, COLEMAN, forced his way into the room with the other man. Once inside, COLEMAN displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of a laptop, cell phone, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before both men fled the room. Minor injuries were reported. During the investigation, detectives learned that a third man, identified as YOUNG, had orchestrated the robbery because of a domestic altercation that he and the victim had the day prior. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against COLEMAN and YOUNG. The investigation continues into the identity of the third man.
Armed Robbery *ARREST – On July 1st, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the accused involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred at the CVS located at 6360 Hoadly Rd in Manassas on June 22nd. Members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended the accused without incident at a motel in Stafford County on July 3rd. Following the arrest, a search warrant was obtained and executed.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 22nd at 9:22AM, police responded to the CVS located at 6360 Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the pharmacy. Once there, the man displayed a handgun and demanded pain medication. At one point, the man jumped over the counter. The suspect took the medication and fled the area in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Armed Robbery | Shooting – On July 7th at 3:39PM, police responded to VA Nails located at 13953 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that two unknown, masked men entered the store and approached the counter. During the encounter, one of the males displayed a handgun and stole the cash register and other items from customers before both men fled on foot. The business owner, a 39 years old man of Fairfax, attempted to chase after the men. At one point during the chase, the armed suspect shot at him. The owner was not shot and no other injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

Armed Robbery – On July 6th at 4:43PM, police responded to the 4600 block of Kaplan Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 40 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that three unknown, masked men forced their way into the residence and ordered him to the floor. One of the men displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before all three men fled the area. No injuries were reported. This incident does not appear to be random. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

3 black males, all reported to be between 15 & 16 years of age

Malicious Bodily Injury by Caustic Substance | Grand Larceny – On July 4th at 2:30PM, police responded to the Sacks located at Potomac Mills Mall, 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) for an assault. The victims, a 32 year old man of Woodbridge and a 40 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that they were with loss prevention for the store and had observed an unknown man shoplifting. The victims confronted the man in the parking lot, at which point, the man sprayed both victims to their faces with pepper spray. The man then fled on foot, dropping the stolen merchandise, and then got into a vehicle with D.C. tags. The victims were able to provide police with a tag number for the vehicle. The man also dropped a D.C. driver’s license identifying him as the accused. No injuries were reported other than irritation from the pepper spray. The stolen merchandise consisted of several clothing items, valued around $1,300.

Residential Burglary – On July 7th at 10:37PM, police responded to the 14400 block of Gemstone Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00PM and 10:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On July 7th at 1:40PM, police responded to the 12700 block of Lockleven Ln in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:00PM on July 3rd and 6:00PM on July 6th. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear deck door which had been pried open. Jewelry, clothing items, a laptop, and a gaming console, total value around $20,000, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On July 6th at 12:30PM, police responded to the 6600 block of Olga Ln in Manassas (20112) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:30PM on June 29th and 12:30PM on July 6th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A safe containing jewelry, valued around $12,000, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On July 4th at 7:16AM, police responded to the 8800 block of Classic Lakes Way in Nokesville (20181) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30PM and 2:30PM on July 3rd. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear basement door which had been forced open. Jewelry and clothing items, valued around $9,600, were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Rape – On July 6th at 10:17PM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a rape which was reported to have occurred in the 19000 block of Potomac Crest Dr in Triangle (22172) on July 4th. The victim, a 44 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she was raped on the evening of July 4th by the accused, a known acquaintance. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Sexual Assault – On July 6th at 4:30AM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at the Wytestone Suites located at 14525 Gideon Dr in Woodbridge (22192). The investigation revealed that the victims, a 21 year old man and a 21 year old woman – both of Woodbridge, were sexually assaulted by the accused while in a hotel room at the above location. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. During the investigation, the accused claimed to have been assaulted by three unknown men while smoking a cigarette outside of the hotel.

Malicious Wounding | Strangulation – On July 7th at 11:08AM, police responded to the 4800 block of Kellogg Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a domestic assault. The victim, a 33 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused the accused began to coke the victim. At one point, the accused bit the victim to her finger causing a minor laceration. Other family members were able to separate the victim and the accused and call police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Malicious Wounding – On July 5th at 7:21PM, police responded to the 3200 block of Berlin Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault. The victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a physical fight. During the encounter, the accused picked up a fork and cut the victim to his face causing a laceration. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Malicious Bodily Injury by Caustic Substance | Strong Armed Robbery – On July 7th at 2:14PM, police responded to the Neiman Marcus located at Potomac Mills Mall, 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) for an assault. The victim, a 54 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was with loss prevention for the store and had observed the accused shoplifting. The victim confronted the accused inside the store and attempted to retrieve the stolen merchandise. During the encounter, the accused sprayed the victim to her face with “pepper spray” causing the victim to drop the merchandise. At that point, the accused grabbed the merchandise and fled towards the parking lot. Another employee of the store, a 50 year old man of Woodbridge, ran after the accused. A physical and verbal altercation ensued in the parking lot between the second victim and the accused. During this encounter, the accused sprayed the second victim to his face with pepper spray. The accused continued to flee on foot until apprehended by arriving officers. No injuries were reported other than irritation from the pepper spray. The stolen merchandise consisted of several hats, valued around $700.

Armed Robbery | Burglary with Intent to Commit a Felony – On July 6th at 1:18AM, police responded to the 11000 block of Kinship Ct in Manassas (20109) for a domestic incident. The victim, a 28 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, forced himself into her residence armed with a knife. The accused threatened the victim before fleeing the residence with property belonging to the victim. Following the encounter, the accused fled the area. No injuries were reported. The accused was eventually located and arrested on July 8th.

Burglary with Intent to Commit an Assault | Assault & Battery – On July 5th at 4:52PM, police responded to the 7700 block of Willow Pond Ct in Manassas (20111) for an assault. The victim, a 54 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, entered his residence through an unlocked side door to his garage. Once inside, the accused began to bang on the interior garage door leading to the residence. The victim confronted the accused in the garage, at which point, the accused assaulted him. Minor injuries were reported. The accused left the area prior to police arrival and was located at his residence. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 5th at 11:36PM, police responded to the 7600 block of Cass Pl in Manassas (20109) after receiving information that the accused was at a residence in that area. The accused had an active warrant on file for domestic assault and battery. Officers arrived and observed a man matching the description of the accused sitting on the steps in front of the building. During the encounter, the accused provided officers with a false. Officers were eventually able to identify the man as the accused. Officers attempted to arrest the accused, at which point, he actively resisted and struck one of the officers to his neck. The accused was subsequently arrested. Minor injuries were reported.

Child Neglect – On July 6th at 2:08PM, police responded to the 7600 block of Chadds Landing Way in Manassas (20110) to investigate a child neglect. Caller reported to police that she arrived home and located the victims, a 2 year old girl and a 3 year old girl, near her residence unsupervised. The caller attempted to locate the children’s parents but was unsuccessful and contacted police. As officers were investigating, one of the children’s parents, J. DANIEL, returned to the residence, followed later by their mother, K. DANIEL. The investigation revealed that the children were left without proper supervision for about 2 hours. The children were not injured. Following the investigation, both parents were arrested.

Prostitution – On July 5th at 8:00PM, members of the Bike Team observed possible drug transactions occurring at the Courtyard Marriot located at 14300 Crossing Pl in Woodbridge (22192). Officers made contact with the two occupants of the room and observed marijuana. Through the investigation, officers were further able to determine that prostitution was going on inside the room. As a result of the investigation, marijuana, 2 cell phones, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were seized. Following the investigation, the below arrests were made without incident.
