Attempted Malicious Wounding
Dean Lee Dao Jr., 21, of 7809 West Point Ct in Manassas has been charged with attempted malicious wounding in connection with a July 4 incident at approximately 11:25 a.m. According to reports, police responded to the 7800 block of West Point Ct in Manassas (20109) for a domestic. The victim, a 43-year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that the accused allegedly assaulted him and then got into a vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, the accused then accelerated quickly towards the victim, nearly striking him. The victim jumped to get out of the way but landed on the windshield before being knocked to the ground. The accused then attempted to strike to the victim again; this time the driver’s side mirror struck the victim. Police arrived and the accused was arrested. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Court date has been set for Aug. 15, 2011, bond information was unavailable.
INCIDENT REPORTS
Home Invasion
On July 7 at 12:32 a.m., police responded to the 11400 block of Lucasville Rd in Manassas (20112) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he had just gotten home when two unknown masked men entered the residence through an unlocked rear sliding glass door. Both of the men were reportedly armed with knives and demanded money. One of the men also allegedly sprayed the victim in the face with ‘pepper spray’ before taking a jar of coins and a shotgun. Both men fled prior to police arrival. Minor injuries were reported.. Police posted a lookout for two black males, both reported to 20-22 years of age
1st male was 6’2” tall, 150lbs, thin build, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black gloves.
2nd male was 6’1” tall,150lbs, thin build, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black gloves.

Burglary
On June 5 at 6:04 p.m., police responded to the 9200 block of Arrington Farm Ct in Manassas (20111) for a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that she had arrived home and noticed three unknown men walking on her property. One of the men was carrying a TV. As the homeowner went into her residence, it was discovered that a rear door had been forced opened. Other items, including additional electronics and jewelry, totaling around $7,000 were reported missing. Police posted a lookout for three black males, 16-18 years of age, 5’10” / 150lbs, thin build.
CRIMESOLVERS CASE
Vandalism to School
On July 6 at 5:27 p.m., police responded to Marsteller Middle School at 14000 Sudley Manor Dr in Bristow (20136) for a vandalism. Staff reported to police that between 10 a.m. on July 4 and 7 p.m. on July 5, an unknown person(s) spray painted racial slurs and other inappropriate drawings on the side of a concrete wall and a sign near the tennis courts. Damage was estimated around $100.
