ARRESTS

Assault & Battery on Police K9 / Driving Under the Influence – On Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 3:33 a.m., a Prince William County police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Coverstone Dr and Notre Dame St in Manassas (20109). The driver, later identified as the accused, failed to stop the vehicle and continued driving on Coverstone, to Notre Dame St and finally to Hiram Ct where the accused stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. During the foot pursuit, the accused hid in a nearby wooded area. A police K-9 was called to the scene and utilized in the search. Once located, a struggle ensued between the accused and the K-9. The accused was eventually detained and treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. No injuries were reported to any officers or the K-9. No property damage was reported. Arrested: Devon L Moure WILKERSON, 23, of 11008 Hiram Ct in Manassas. Charged with assault & battery on a police K9, driving under the influence, felony eluding, resisting arrest, driving on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic [cocaine] and possession of marijuana. Strong Armed Robbery – On Monday, July 23, 2012 at 9 p.m., police responded to the 14800 block of Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The investigation revealed that the two victims, a 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male – both of Woodbridge, were involved in a verbal altercation with a group of suspects which escalated. During the encounter, the suspects physically assaulted both victims and relieved them of an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and running shoes before fleeing the area. One of the suspects was later identified as the accused male juvenile. The investigation further revealed the group of suspects were transported to and from the above area by the adult suspect. The victims sustained minor non-life threatening injuries. The incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues. Arrested: Tameeka Lashawn MASON, 34, of 14323 Belleview Ave in Woodbridge. Charged with 2 counts of robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond. A 14-year-old male juvenile. Charged with 2 counts of robbery and 2 counts of assault by mob. Court date unavailable, held at a juvenile detention facility.

Brandishing – On July Friday, 13, 2012 at 9:35 p.m., police responded to the 15600 block of John Diskin Cl in Woodbridge (22191) for a domestic. The victim, a 28-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly displayed a handgun and waived it in the air. The accused was on scene when police arrived and was arrested without incident. No shots were fired and injuries were reported. Arrested: Brady Ingram WILSON, 28, of the 15600 block of John Diskin Cl in Woodbridge. Charged with brandishing a firearm. Court date unavailable, held on a $2,500 secured bond.
