INCIDENT REPORT
Malicious Wounding

On July 9 at 12:39 a.m., police responded to the 2500 block of Oak Tree Ln in Dumfries (22026) for a fight. Callers reported to police that a large fight had broken out in the area above involving an estimated 50 people. As police arrived, two victims were identified, a 20-year-old Alexandria man and a 22-year-old Dale City man. Both were transported to area hospital for their injuries. Exact cause of the fight is still under investigation. No descriptions could be given to police for the assailant(s) who injured the victims.

ARRESTS
Armed Robbery

Nathan Robert McGill, 23, of 13002 Kimbrough Ln., Dale City, has been charged with robbery in connection with a July 11 incident. At 3:34 a.m. according to reports, police responded to the 15000 block of Mill Spring Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 44-year-old Woodbridge taxi driver, reported to police that he was driving three men to a location in the above area. When they reached their destination, the accused pulled out a knife and demanded money. The three men fled prior to police arrival. Police were able to locate two of the subjects at Minnieville Rd. and Cardinal Dr. The third was located further down Cardinal Dr. The accused was the only subject charged in connection with the robbery. No injuries were reported. Court date and bond information were unavailable.

Attempted Robbery
Michael Kenneth Daniel, 43, of 8230 Blue Ridge Ct in Manassas was charged with robbery in connection with a July 9 incident at approximately 3:10 p.m.  According to reports, police responded to the 7-11 located at 11171 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 54- year-old Manassas man, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, assaulted him in the parking lot and attempted to take his property. No items were taken and the victim sustained minor injuries. The accused fled prior to police arrival but was located a short time later.  An Aug. 1, 2011 court date was set. The accused is being held without bond

Attempted Malicious Wounding
Maitte Cristina Vasquez, 34, of 11500 Carrie Ct in Fredericksburg has been charged with attempted malicious wounding in connection with a July 9 incident at approximately 10:41 a.m. According to reports, police responded to the 4700 block of Kellogg Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a domestic. The victim, a 51-year-old Woodbridge man, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly threw a rock at the victim which struck him. The accused left the residence prior to police but turned herself in later that day.  Court date was unavailable. The accused was released on a $6,000 unsecured bond.

Brandishing
Donald Earl Webb Jr., 48, of 12971 Torchlight Dr., Woodbridge, has been charged with brandishing in connection with a July 10 incident. According to reports, at 10:42 a.m., police responded to the 13700 block of Meadowbrook Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a disorderly. The victim, a 36-year-old Woodbridge woman, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, had brandished a firearm towards her after an altercation escalated. No injuries were reported. The accused was arrested without further incident and has been released on a $2,500 unsecured bond. The court date is Aug. 30, 2011,

OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS
Burglary

On July 5 at 5:48 p.m., police responded to the 15100 block of Cloverdale Rd in Dale City (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10 p.m. on July 4 and 2:30 p.m. on July 5. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door which had been forced opened. No items were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary
On July 9 at 10:33 a.m., police responded to the 12700 block of Wood Hollow Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on July 6, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into her residence through a back patio door. A safety latch, which was in place, prevented entry. No items were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary
On July 8 at 1:57 p.m., police responded to the 12100 block of Winona Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear door which had been forced opened. Entry does not appear to have been gained due to residents being home at the time. No items were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary
On July 8 at 5:13 p.m., police responded to the 3100 block of Yale Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on July 8, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear kitchen window which was forced opened. The window could not be fully opened which prevented entry. No items were reported missing.

CRIMESOLVERS CASES
Vehicle Tamperings

On July 10 at 9:25 a.m., police responded to the 14500 block of Three Dormers Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for several vehicle tamperings. The investigation revealed that sometime overnight, between 10 p.m. on July 9 and 9 a.m. on July 10, approximately eight vehicles were tampered with. No forced entry appeared to have been made through any of the vehicles which were left unlocked. A laptop and speakers, valued around $1,600, were reported missing from two of the eight vehicles.

Vandalisms to Property
On July 10 at 7:29 a.m., police responded to the area of Birchdale Ave and Burleigh Ln in Dale City (22193) for several destructions of property reports. The investigation revealed that sometime overnight, between 11:30 p.m. on July 9 and 7:30 a.m. on July 10, an unknown person(s) spray painted approximately 11 vehicles which were parked on Birchdale Ave, Burleigh Ln and Burbank Ln. An unknown number of fences in the area also reported similar vandalism. Damage was estimated in the thousands of dollars.

INVESTIGATION RESULTS
Crash – Fatality

The investigation into the July 10, 2011 fatal crash in the 3100 [correction] block of James Madison Hwy showed that the driver of a 2005 Dodge Caravan was traveling southbound on James Madison Hwy and attempted to pass a vehicle traveling the same direction. The driver crossed over the double yellow line and into the path of the driver of a 2004 Winnebago RV. Speed and alcohol are not factors in this collision. Inside the Dodge Caravan was a white Great Pyrenees which was in cage. The collision forced the cage open and the dog remains missing. If located, please contact police.
Identified:
• The driver of the 2005 Dodge Caravan was identified as Charlotte Brown Perry, 72, of Midland.
• The passenger of the 2005 Dodge Caravan was identified as a 79-year- old man of Midland.
• The driver of the 2004 Winnebago RV was identified as a 41-year-old woman of Jefferson, MD.
• The passenger of the 2004 Winnebago RV was identified as a 46-year- old man of Jefferson, MD.
Crash – Fatality (Previously Released)
On July 10 at 4:23 p.m., police responded to the 2900 block of James Madison Hwy., Haymarket (20169) for a crash. A preliminary investigation revealed that the crash was between a 2005 Dodge Caravan and a 2004 Winnebago RV. Specific details of the crash are still under investigation. The driver of the Dodge Caravan, an adult female, was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger in the Dodge Caravan, adult male, was
flown to an area hospital with unknown injuries. Two occupants were in the RV, no reported injury. Drivers in the area can expect delays as the investigation continues.
