PWC Police Beat 6/5/13

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On June 3rd at 9:14PM, police responded to the Subway located at 13442 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the business, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used in the search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 21-25 years of age, 6’0”, 180lbs with a medium build and long black braided hair (possibly a wig)
Last seen wearing a gray long sleeve jacket, blue jeans, black bandana, and black & white shoes

Residential Burglary – On June 4th at 10:34PM, police responded to the 14600 block of Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM and 10:30PM. Entry appeared to have been made into the residence through a rear glass door which had been broken out. A laptop and equipment, valued around $900, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 4th at 5:52PM, police responded to the 12000 block of Falling Creek Dr in Manassas (20112) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30PM on June 2nd and 3:30PM on June 4th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked rear door. A TV, jewelry, equipment, and other property, valued around $15,000, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 4th at 2:43PM, police responded to the 13000 block Kahns Rd in Manassas (20112) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM and 2:30PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear glass door which had been broken out. Two gaming consoles with related games and equipment, valued around $2,400, were reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On June 4th at 3:01AM, police responded to Pizza Gourmet located at 12425 Hedges Run Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on June 3rd and 3:00AM on June 4th. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been broken out. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 4th at 8:59PM, police responded to the 7900 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she heard a loud noise coming from the front door. Upon checking the noise, the homeowner observed a group of unknown men running from the area. It appeared one of the men attempted to kick open the door. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On June 5th at 12:37AM, police responded to the 4500 block of Sparrow Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a domestic assault. The victim, a 40 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a golf club and struck the victim to his arm, shoulder, and head. The victim was able to get away and lock himself in a room within the residence. The accused fled prior to police arrival but was arrested later that morning. Minor injuries were reported.
Arrested on June 5th:
Blendetria Minor WILEY, 38, of the 4500 block of Sparrow Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding
Court date and bond information unavailable

Narcotics Investigation – On April 1st, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of marijuana with the below arrest which was made without incident in the 5000 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192).As a result of the investigation, marijuana, evidence of distribution, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

Timothy Aaron GRAY, 23, of 9572 Sunnyslope Dr in Manassas
Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana
Court date: June 7, 2013 | Bond: released on personal recognizance
