PWC Police Beat 6/25/13

Rape | Aggravated Sexual Battery – On June 21st, detectives from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a rape which was reported to have occurred at the Evangel Christian School located at 14836 Ashdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) between 1982 and 1987. The investigation revealed that during this time the victim was sexually abused by the accused, her teacher. The victim, female, was 12 years old at the time when the abuse started in 1982. Some of the alleged offenses were reported to have occurred on school grounds. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants on June 24th and the accused was arrested in Albemarle, VA the same day.
