Attempted Strong Armed Robbery
On June 23 at 8:45 p.m., police responded to the area of Mapledale Avenue and Mansfield Court in Dale City for a robbery. The male victim, 22 of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by two unknown men who struck the victim, knocking him to the ground. The victim displayed a pocket knife, which he had in his possession, which caused the men to flee the area. No property was taken. The victim reported minor injuries. Lookout: Two black males. First male, between 14 and 17, 5’05”, medium build. Last seen wearing a blue tank top and basketball shorts. Second male, unknown age, medium build – no further description. Last seen wearing a white tank top.
ARRESTS
Malicious Wounding / Domestic Related
On June 23 at 10:23 p.m., police responded to Featherstone Square in the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge for an assault. The female victim, 44 of no fixed address, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and kicked her. The accused was arrested without incident and charged. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Arrested: Vincent Edward Dillard, 41, of 1928 Inglebrook Dr. in Woodbridge. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date unavailable, held without bond.
Firearms Violation
On June 23 at 11:57 p.m., police responded to the area of Sudley Road and James Madison Highway in Gainesville for a shots fired call. Police observed an occupant of a silver pickup truck firing shots out of a rear window. Police stopped the vehicle near High Ridge Drive. The investigation revealed the occupants were firing at a deer. A rifle was located inside the truck, in addition to boxes of ammunition. No property damage was reported. Arrested: Raymond Ervin Credo, 18, of 7501 Godfrey St. in Gainesville. Charged with shooting from a moving vehicle. Andrew Taylor Brings, 26, of 15105 Gainesville Circle in Haymarket. Charged with conspiracy. Connor William Leake, 19, of 6944 Jockey Club Lane in Haymarket. Charged with conspiracy. Court date and bond information unavailable.
Burglary
On June 23 at 11:46 p.m., police responded to the 2200 block of Princess Anne Lane in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 9:30 and 11 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a back door which was forced opened. Electronics, two firearms and other items valued around $1,600 were reported missing.
