INCIDENTS
Indecent Exposure – On June 19, 2012 at 9 p.m., police responded to the area of Sudley Manor Dr and Brookstone Rd in Manassas (20109) for a report of indecent exposure. The victim, a 31-year-old Manassas woman, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she encountered an unknown man wearing no pants. The man retreated behind a building when the victim warned she would contact police. The man did not reappear after his retreat. Police arrived on scene but were unable to locate the man. Lookout: White male, between 35 & 36 years of age, 5’6” / 170 lbs, heavy build with black crew cut style hair. Last seen wearing an orange & white stripped t-shirt
Attempted Abduction/Assault & Battery – On June 19, 2012 at 7:19 p.m., police responded to the area of Hellwig Park in Bristow (20181) for an attempted abduction. The victim, a 19-year-old woman of Bristow, reported to police that she was in the above area walking her dog when she was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man offered the victim a drink of water and a ride home. When the victim refused, she was pushed against a tree and grabbed by the arm. The victim slapped the man in the face and her dog bit the man on the ankle. The victim was able to escape the man’s grip and run from the area. The man fled on foot prior to police arrival. Attempts to locate the man were unsuccessful. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, between 30 & 40 years of age, 6’5” / 300 lbs, muscular build. Last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt with a diamond.
ARRESTS
Brandishing – On June 20, 2012 at 11:02 a.m., police responded to the 3900 block of Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for a brandishing. The victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he had a verbal altercation with the accused, a neighbor, when the accused photographed the victim walking his dog. During the altercation the accused showed a hand gun. The victim returned to his residence and contacted police. Police arrived on scene and the accused was arrested without incident. Arrested: John George HELD, 64, of 3926 Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge. Charged with brandishing. Court date is set for August 27, 2012, Held on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
Assault & Battery – On June 16, 2012 at 9:20 p.m., police responded to the 11800 block of Hazel Cl in Bristow (20136) for an assault by a resident of Youth for Tomorrow. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 46-year-old male of Stafford, and the accused, an 18-year-old male resident of Youth for Tomorrow, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly jumped on the victim and bit his arm. Police arrived on scene and arrested the accused without incident. Minor injuries were reported. Arrested: Andrew Brian SHANE, 18, of 11885 Hazel Cr in Bristow. Charged with assault & battery. Court date set for August 24, 2012, Held on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
