Brandishing/Discharge of Firearm in a Public Place – On Saturday,June 16, 2012 at 10:59 p.m., police responded to the area of Carter Ln and Knowles St in Woodbridge (22191) for a report of shots fired. When police arrived on the scene, they encountered three unknown men running in the area and discovered one of the men had a hand gun in his possession which he had discharged in the area above. Arrested without incident was Alex Alberto MARTINEZ, 22, of the 14100 block of Cuddy Loop in Woodbridge. Charged with brandishing and discharge a firearm in a public place. Court date and bond information unavailable.
INCIDENTS
Child Neglect – On Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 1:58 p.m., police responded to the 12600 block of Dara Drive in Woodbridge (22191) for child neglect. The victims, three female juveniles, were left in a locked vehicle at the above location. The accused, two different fathers of the children, were located inside the residence. There were no reported injuries and the children, who were reported left in the vehicle for 10 minutes, were turned over to their mothers without incident. Wanted: Jothan Ceab PHILLIPS, 22, of 1370 E. Longview Dr in Woodbridge, Va. Wanted for felony child neglect. Markus Terell GARDNER. 23, 13109 Haddock Rd in Woodbridge, Va. Wanted for felony child neglect.
Armed Robbery – On June Monday, June 18, 2012 at 6:36 a.m., police responded to the 17900 block of Milroy Dr in Dumfries (22026) for a robbery. The victim, a 37-year-old man of Dumfries, reported to police that after exiting his residence he was approached by an unknown man with a brick in his hand. The man demanded money. The victim advised he had no money. The man then produced a revolver style hand gun. The man took the victim’s wallet before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, unknown age, 5’9” / 140lbs, Last seen wearing a short sleeve black shirt, black pants and black mask.
Armed Robbery/Malicious Wounding – On Sunday, June 17 at 4:39 a.m., police responded to the area of Old Triangle Rd and McClellan Ct in Dumfries (22026) for a robbery. The victim, a 41-year-old man of Dumfries, reported that when he arrived at his residence, he was approached by an unknown man who displayed a handgun and a tire iron. The man demanded money from the victim. When the victim advised he had no money he was struck with the tire iron. The man then took the victim’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. Lookout: Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’0 / 170lbs, brown eyes, brown hair. Last seen wearing a white tank top and black jeans.
Attempted Burglary – On Sunday, June 17 at 10:40 a.m. police responded to the 14700 block of Dodson Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:15 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made into laundry room connected to the residence by prying open the rear door. No items were reported as missing. There is no suspect information.
Malicious Wounding – On June Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 4:59 p.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Shotwell Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a stabbing. The victim, a 33-year-old man of Alexandria VA, reported to police that he was approached by an unknown man who attacked him. The victim was stabbed in his torso and struck in the head with a hammer. The victim was flown to an area hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries. Lookout: Black male, unknown age, 5’8”, medium build

Malicious Wounding/Destruction of Property – On Saturday, June 16 at 2:25 a.m. police responded to the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) in reference to a stabbing. The victim, a 50-year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, two unknown men, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused in the white shirt allegedly produced a knife and cut him across the stomach. The accused in the orange-striped shirt then sliced two tires on the victim’s vehicle. Both accused fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries. Lookout: White male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 5’5” / 200 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes and medium build with goatee. Last seen wearing a blue hat, orange striped shirt and jean shorts. Indecent Exposure – On June 16, 2012 at 12:19PM, police responded to the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for an indecent exposure. The victim, a-29-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported that she was in the area above when she encountered the accused, an unknown man. During the encounter the man exposed himself. Police arrived on scene but were unable to locate the man who was last seen walking on Darbydale Ave. Lookout: Black male, between 30-35 years of age, 5’9”/ 150lbs thin build. Last seen wearing an open blue shirt, tan pants and a jacket around the waist,
Brandishing – On June 15, 2012 at 6: p.m. police responded to the area of Opitz Blvd and Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a brandishing of a gun. The victims, a 20-year-old woman and a 24-year-old male, both of Woodbridge, reported that while at a red light in the above area they encountered an unknown man in a Red Chevy Tahoe sports utility vehicle. The man became angry with the victims over their facial gestures. The man then allegedly showed a hand gun. The man departed the area prior to police arrival. Pedestrian Struck/Fly Out – On June 15, 2012 at 3:59 p.m., police responded to the 12400 block of Hedges Run Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2010 Dodge Charger was stopped and holding a conversation in front of a commercial business. When the driver completed his conversation, he accelerated and struck the pedestrian with his vehicle. The pedestrian was flown to an area hospital where she was treated and is expected to make a full recovery. Investigation continues. Charged: Markus Maurice COLLINS, 21, of the 7700 block of Beechnut Road in Capital Heights Charged with reckless driving released on summons. Court date unavailable.
