ARRESTS
Unlawful Wounding – On Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. police responded to the 3500 block of Briarwood Dr in Dumfries (22026) for a stabbing. The victim, a 21-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the victim in the shoulder. Only superficial injuries were reported. The accused fled the residence but was located by officers a short distance away. Arrested: Jennifer Lynn RAGUSA, 19, of 120 Kings Row Pl in Dumfries. Charged with unlawful wounding. Court date unavailable, released on a $3,500 unsecured bond
Threats to Bomb – On Friday, May 11, 2012, school authorities informed police of graffiti which had been found in the boy’s restroom of Hylton High School located at 14051 Spriggs Rd in Woodbridge (22193). The graffiti implied there was a bomb in the school. Police and school officials checked the school and did not locate at threat. Following an investigation, police were able to learn who was responsible for the writing the threat in the bathroom. There was not a credible threat and posed no danger to other students. Arrested: (Juvenile) - A 15-year-old male of Woodbridge, charged with threats to bomb. Court date unavailable, held at a Juvenile Detention Facility.
INCIDENTS
Home Invasion – On Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 9:57 p.m., police responded to the 7500 block of Willoughby Ln in Manassas (20109) for a home invasion. The homeowner reported to police that upon answering a knock at the door, two unknown men forced their way inside the residence. Once inside, both men displayed handguns and searched the residence. After ransacking the residence, the men fled the residence. Police established a perimeter around the surrounding neighborhood. No injuries were reported and no items were reported missing. This incident does not appear to be a random act. Lookout: 2 black males, both reported to be between 18 & 25 years of age—First male was 5’05” / 150lbs, thin build with short black hair and brown eyes. No clothing description provided. Second male was 5’10” / 180lbs, medium build with collar length black dreadlocks and brown eyes. No clothing description provided.
Threats to Burn / Stalking – On Friday, May 11, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. police responded to the 16600 block of Georgetown Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a domestic. The victim, a 28-year-old woman of Woodridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in an ongoing domestic incident. On this day, the victim had received text messages from the accused implying that he would burn her house down. The accused had also been seen several times around the residence and, at one point, threw rocks at her residence and broke a mirror on her vehicle. Warrants were obtained against the accused. Wanted: Joseph Henry HALSEY III, 36, of 5027 57th Ave in Bladensburg, MD. Described as a black male, 5’06” / 200lbs, medium build with a goatee. Wanted for threats to burn, stalking and destruction of property.
Burglary to a Business – On Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 2:23 a.m. police responded to the ABC Store located at 4255 Cheshire Station Plz in Woodbridge (22193) for an alarm. Police arrived and discovered the front window which had been broken out. Officers and a police K-9 checked the business and did not locate any suspects. Six bottles of liquor, valued around $100, were reported missing. A review of the surveillance footage revealed an unknown man kicking out the front glass window. Once broken out, a second male was seen entering the business and removing the alcohol. Lookout: 2 males, unknown race or age—First male was between 5’10” & 6’0” / 170-180lbs, medium build [broke out the window]. Last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants. Second male was between 5’10” / 6’0”. 160-170lbs, medium build. Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, black pants and a light colored cloth covering his face.
Burglary – On Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 12:52 p.m., police responded to the 8500 block of Stokely Dr in Manassas (20111) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30 a.m. on May 12, 2012 and 7:15 p.m. on May 13, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear door. Medication, valued around $20, was reported missing.
Burglary – On Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 5:42 p.m., police responded to the 13800 block of Rockford Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8 a.m. on May 9, 2012 and 9 a.m. on May 12, 2012. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been broken out, as well as, two exterior sheds which were both forced opened. Tools, jewelry and other items, valued around $12,000, were reported missing.
Burglary – On Friday, May 11, 2012 at 12:40 p.m., police responded to the 1700 block of Tilletson Pl in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:45 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear door. Jewelry and 3 laptops, valued around $5,000, were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary – On Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 4 p.m., police responded to the 8100 block of Weatherwood Ct in Manassas (20109) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that sometime between 2 p.m. on May 12 and 6 p.m. on May 13, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through the front door. Damage to the door handle was consistent with someone attempting to force the door open. No entry was gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary – On Friday. May 11, 2012 at 4 p.m., police responded to the 10600 block of Winfield Lp in Manassas (20109) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that sometime between 7 p.m. on May 10 and noon on May 11, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear window. Damage to the window was consistent with someone attempting to force the window open. No entry was gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
